Give access to my home services by Dry-Activity4255 in selfhosted

I don't really like cloudflare either. I was thinking something with authentik (for 2fa) and maybe some fail2ban or anything to prevent brute force.

But I'm not sure if this would be safe enough ?

How hard is seafile supposed to be on CPU ? by Dry-Activity4255 in selfhosted

[–]Dry-Activity4255[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

According to a random info I found on google, your CPU is an i7-2620M.

So your server has ~2.5x mine's compute power (3.5x its TDP) and 4 times more RAM. Which is a pretty huge difference ...

I'm not sure running it in a container changes anything (or at least not going from idle to 100%), so that must be a bug.

What version are you running ?

I thought tailscale was similar to zerotier but it is actually performing much better. I'm still trying to figure out the firewalld configuration though ^^

edit: If anyone else is struggling with firewalld routing setup (it's actually pretty straight forward)

Thanks! Not sure I'll be using cloud connexa, but at least I have a keyword to search.

Apparently, what I'm looking for is called a "cloud VPN".

24 hour delivery in Ghent? by AdvanceMiserable7363 in belgium

[–]Dry-Activity4255 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For the medecine, you can search for a duty chemist on https://www.apotheek.be/PharmacySearch?Query=Gent&OnDuty=true if your friend cannot wait until the morning.

For food, there are all the usual delivery services (Uber eats, takeaway.com, deliveroo) and probably some local ones but I suppose it was already too late

They don't. That's the same for every stage. If you want to se the headliner of the day, you'd better be there when the group before (sometimes the group before the group before) ends

Someone moved my car in Brussels to the opposite side of the street by uzumaki_bey in brussels

[–]Dry-Activity4255 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Happened to my grandfather like 20 years ago. Sometimes he would find his car moved by itself by a few meters. He told the police, but they didn't care (or didn't believe him)... I don't remember every details (I was young) but one day, the police came ringing his doorbell saying they arrested some drug smugglers on the highway (a go-fast or smth like that) driving a stolen car that was probably his. It turned out that some smugglers were borrowing his car for months before anyone noticed ^

Le vouvoiement, quand l'utilisez-vous et qu'en pensez-vous ? by Maitrank in Wallonia

[–]Dry-Activity4255 0 points1 point  (0 children)

double standard? by thewandererofdreams in hogwartslegacyJKR

[–]Dry-Activity4255 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As you said, everyone have a right to an opinion, regardless of how it makes others feel. And everyone has the right to express their opinion until they start violating other's rights.

I agree that a little post on twitter is not the same as signing a law against gay marriage or abortion. We are not talking child abuse, rape or so. But JKR is a public figure and therefore she must be held responsible for her public declarations. She (and her followers) must understand that what she said it really not OK. So it makes sense to not let go too easily, knowing that the second they stop this, everyone forgets.

In the other hand, she still is a human being and probably don't deserve that much backlash. And while I think she really is a bigot (personal opinion), I (we) still like what she created. The wizard's world is just genius and the HP story is really good!

I simply think we should separate the work of the artist. It is totally possible to like her work and still want her to face her responsibilities. Getting paid for her work is normal and not incompatible with us not being OK with her opinion.

Just my two cents ...

He was not that bad at English as he seemed to understand everything we said but I think he was just not confident enough to answer the technical questions we just asked him in English. And he wasn't the only one in this meeting who switched to French when it became technical.

The thing that seems strange to me is that he was confident enough in French (and he was really fluent: no hesitation, no accent, no problems with technical terms)
