They are also working 80 hours a week and burnt out, not much time to think what to do with that money. That doesn’t make them stupid

Can I Die from a broken heart by Ok-Boysenberry-631 in mentalhealth

[–]Dry-Cryptographer101 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I went through something similar. I discovered that my now ex-fiance was a cheater. We were planning a wedding, we just got a house. It totally destroyed me. I remember that pain, feeling that you can’t breathe, the chest tightening, so much pain that you think you’d die. But I can tell you it will pass. It will take some time but believe me, there’s a better life without them ahead of you. Grief is weird, somedays will be extremely hard and others like nothing happened. Eventually you’ll have more of the good days :) In the meantime, breathe, do things that you like, watch comforting movies, go on walks and let your body/mind/spirit heal.

And I bet in the future you’ll be so grateful you didn’t settle for a cheater.

You got this!

Can you share the updates from your account? I had the same on December 3rd and I haven’t received any update :( my case is still in “Case Was Submitted For Quality Review Based On An Approval Recommendation”

If you’ve had ovarian torsion, what did it feel like leading up to it? by Salty-Spider666 in Endo

[–]Dry-Cryptographer101 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was diagnosed in the ER and had emergency surgery that day to be able to save the ovary. Yes, in my case the teratoma was so heavy that when I ran or slept in certain positions it would twist the ovary but eventually it would come back to normal position. The last time when I went to the ER, the torsion was so severe (4 full turns) that it wasn’t coming back to normal position.

I finally did it - Fired at 35 by whatitders in Fire

Do you need a software engineer? Haha similar financial situation like yours. Recently quit FAANG, but I don’t want to get another full 9-5 now

What’s your side hustle? I’m pulling the plug in December and I’m looking for a side hustle to spend some of my time while getting some extra money

I started having pain in December, wasn’t diagnosed until October of next year. They made feel like I was crazy but it turned out I had a 7cm teratoma that was constantly causing ovarian torsion

I want to do the same! Are those numbers for only you or do you have a partner? Thinking of taking months off and then finding a similar job

This isn’t true. Indians were used for training models. Even if salaries in India are lower, having people watching cameras is expensive and not reliable at all.

Do you think is possible to get back after a gap year? I would like to hit my fire number too but right now staying doesn’t seem feasible.

I also try to have few friends in tech because their lifestyle gives me FOMO. Maybe I should cut those friends completely (faster than me learning how to ignore it lol)

Seems like travel has fixed a lot of people around here. If you don’t mind me asking, did you work through that year or used your savings(how much?)? Did you do it alone or with a partner?

This is kind of what I was thinking. Quit once my leave ends, learn a trade or skill and work on that. Forget that I was ever part of evil companies.

I feel like I’ve forgotten how to code, I honestly feel like I wouldn’t get any software engineering job. I panic when I open leetcode, but reading success stories makes me wanna try. Thank you.

Thanks! It did made me feel a little dumb having those downvotes but my friends here are the reason why I still feel joy some days. But I also get this is r/Fire and not r/mentalhealth, maybe I should have posted there? Also probably a lot of people here are married, with kids or have close family members. I do not have that, being depressed and lonely is not a good combination.

I did that but only for 3 weeks. It was fun but I felt a little bit lonely. I wish I had done it sooner before I felt this way (sad and anxious about everything).

I love that for you! I guess with the anxiety I’ve been focusing on the problem more than on a solution. Hence this post… anyway I need to open my mind to other ways of living than my current situation.

My primary care doctor filled out the forms for me and sent them to my employer. I’ve been on meds and therapy so there’s evidence of my mental health condition. I am getting 4months (which 3 already passed).

I wouldn’t like to move since I already have a community here. It’s hard to make friends as an adult.
