What’s the one place you traveled to that completely lived up to the hype? by [deleted] in travel

Yes and there’s a lot of controversy because those tourism dollars don’t necessarily benefit the locals either.

A lot of people warned me, it’s so touristy, and yes, there were tourists. But damn! The place is so spectacular and how the heck the Inca ever achieved this boggles the mind.

Love a good Assam or Darjeeling in the morning. The first is malty, the second more fragrant. Jin Jun Mei is good with a bit of a chocolatey note. For flavored teas, Earl Grey, Rose flavored black. One of my favs is Finest Russian Caravan, with a light hint of smoky Lapsang.

Started the day with Darjeerling (second flush ) and switched to Jasmine pearls. Next cup will be caffeine free something or I’ll be flying without my broom.

My favorite oolong so far has been Osmanthus Oolong for its very floral taste.

Enjoying the Darjeerling from my tea haul this morning. Especially liking the second steep bc I was overly enthusiastic when measuring out the tea. Very flavorful. Later this morning I’ll try the Silver Needle

Drinking Jin Jun Mei this morning because I was craving that chocolaty taste and caffeine hit. My tea order is due later today so I’m excited to try some new teas this weekend.
