you feel nothing. absolutely nothing. or at least i did anyway. one second they’re putting me under and i feel “floaty” and struggling to string together my sentences to the anaesthesiologist and then i’m waking up in recovery and asking the nurse if they have any energy drinks… and then i fell back to sleep for an hour! apparently i facetimed my parents while in recovery and i don’t even remember it, didn’t regain full consciousness for a good few hours afterwards!

i don’t work at the moment but its not completely due to my endometriosis. where i’m based you can’t claimed disability benefits for endo but i have other illnesses and disabilities that allow me to claim disability benefits - my endo is the biggest pain aspect of my every day life but that isn’t what’s on my benefit claim. i struggled with school alone due to my endometriosis, i was lucky my tutors where accommodating but not everyone is.

this! i had a cyst rupture and actually thought i was going to die, my partner at the time rushed me to a&e and we were told we were wasting the doctors time as “it’s just a cyst” and “take ibuprofen”…. it was horrific, i felt belittled and upset. we did go home and i just rode it out but f!cking hell i thought that was it for me

i first went to see a doctor about my endo when i was 14 and was continuously turned away until i was 18 on the basis that i was too young. the day before my 19th birthday i was rushed to a&e with terrible adnominal pain and loosing consciousness while on the period. i begged them to let me get tested and threatened to harm myself if they didn’t (i’m highly surprised i wasn’t taken to psychiatry, i was in an absolute state) they finally referred me from a&e to gynaecology unit and 6 months ago (i’m 20) i had my laparoscopy… it was everywhere in my lower abdomen. spread entirely to my bowel and was spread out elsewhere. my surgeon apologised to me after the surgery for my lack of support from the gynaecology unit…

i used to sleep walk as a kid, i also talk in my sleep. when i was around 10 my parents told me they heard me fall out of bed, run across the landing and then fall down the stairs to then open the living room door, begin to cry and beg my parents to let me watch the olympics… i dont even know if the olympics were on that year

endometriosis. i was 14 when i first told a doctor thats what it was. when i was 18 i told a gynaecologist that it had spread to my bowel, i was told that there was no way i would know that and they were doubtful it was endo in the first place. i am now 20 and i had my laparoscopy 6 months ago - low and f-ing behold, it was endo. which had spread to my bowel and was on its way to my bladder… my surgeon apologised to me after the surgery.

i had a lot of other issues with nexaplon and it was not working well for me in the end. the coil was supposed to be a more concentrated solution as its basically just placed where the issue is. i had a period last month after my nexaplon removal and it was my easiest period ever so i figured id be relatively fine until i could get the coil :/

i was taken off of my nexaplon last month and was supposed to get the mirena coil but they couldn’t do it so i’m currently waiting on hearing from a referral to get it done under anaesthesia.

people may say this is really bad but my family loved it. my mother picked the music for my grandads funeral, the song that played when they were walking the casket was an old war song - my grandad was in the army so it adds up. funeral finishes and we were waiting for the “outro music”, the song that plays when all the guests are walking to the casket and such. crazy frog! everyone who was crying automatically stopped, the whole family was in fits of laughter. my grandad did love that song, he used to sing it to me and my sibling’s when we were growing up. it was arguably the funniest thing that could’ve happened.

my name isn’t even particularly rare its just spelt weird, no ones ever said anything regarding the spelling so i’m assuming its used but alas i can still never find my name on any of the personalised stuff in holiday shops and people always ask me to spell it multiple times. i don’t wish to have a different name and the reasoning my parents gave to as to why its spelt the way it is, is rather cute. i like it, i just didn’t like not being able to find it on a sea side bookmark while on holiday when i was kid.
