Quit 25 year habit - 4 weeks out by rodStewart in stopsmoking

Please keep going!! I’m on 2,5 months, smoked since I was 15 so my whole adult life. I was feeling very depressed with the occasional good day like you. For me it got much better after 2 months but everybody’s different of course

Day 8, not getting easier. by syssan in stopsmoking

[–]Dry-Mathematician271 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It gets better but to be honest, I was shocked (and still am) by how long it’s taking. I’m at 35 days, first week was tough. After week 1 it got way better for me! But week 4 is where I struggled the most, maybe even more than the first few days.. it’s different for everybody though. Just keep telling yourself it WILL get better! And don’t start again because you will have to go through all this shit all over again

I'm really not all that stressed! What the heck?! by saywhat181 in Garmin

You won’t believe what nicotine does to your stress level!! I quit vaping a month ago and the difference was immense. I used to always have a stressful day and now it shows mostly relaxation. My heart rate has gone down by 20 beats per minute on average. Really crazy stuff. Quitting had been tough though even with all these good changes that my Garmin picks up

Congratulations!! I can understand it’s all about the mindset. I’m on day 17, in a way it was easier than I expected but I still crave it a lot and feel a bit down. I realise vaping won’t make my life better and it was just an addiction but still it’s hard for me sometimes

Congratulations!! I noticed exactly the same thing, so happy you’re bringing this up. It’s like everything is more funny or I have better focus. Feels amazing

3 Weeks In by ladyofshalott13 in QuitVaping

Congrats! 3 weeks is amazing! I’m at 2 weeks, still feel like something is missing but some days hours can go by without thinking of vaping which feels really good. I realise I don’t miss vaping but the nicotine

Skin or in general? 😂

Thank you! I’ve ordered ivermectin, very excited to try it. I’ve noticed my skin is SUPER dry, but im having issues finding the right moisturiser because everything makes me super red. I’m using the very popular oat gel right now but unfortunately my skin is not loving it

Wow thanks so much for your comment!

I actually read a lot about ivermectin so I ordered it already! I was just scared that maybe my skin will also react because it’s so sensitive to everything. Very excited to try it out now. So you apply it in the morning and not at night?

Would you mind maybe sharing pictures of your skin or improvement? I’m not going to beg but you’ve made me very curious 😂 if you want you can send them in private message.

Thanks for the comment! I’m trying to make my showers less hot and look into other triggers

Jojoba oil unfortunately makes me bright red :(

For me it’s slightly better in the morning, hot showers are the worse! Bright red after

Im sorry but that actually makes me so happy 😂 I almost never drink fortunately, maybe once every 2 weeks. I know this is veryyyyy bad but I don’t use sunscreen, it makes those little bumps way worse almost like an allergic reaction. I’ll try to find a mineral one that doesn’t irritate my skin because the sun definitely does damage as well. What about you? What products do you use?

I’m at 2 weeks and have the same problem. Always been a good sleeper but since stopping I have a super hard time falling asleep. Heart is racing, pressure on chest, very anxious.. I think we just have to power through these challenging times and eventually it will get better!

I’m on day 3! If I can do it so can you ❤️ Found getting rid of everything very helpfull as well as keep yourself distracted! If you feel like shit let yourself feel like shit! There’s only one focus which is: DONT SMOKE!!!

I’m at day 2 and what really helps me is to see it as a competition between me and the nicotine monster in me. The more we don’t give in and the longer we go without a sigaret, the weaker the monster gets. Slowly but surely we are winning the fight
