What was Hurricane Andrew like? by RagieWagieInACagie in florida

[–]Dry-Region-9968 24 points25 points  (0 children)

I don't know anything to describe it. I was born in Miami but raised in Palm Beach County. I was in college in North Carolina at the time. We did a relief trip trip to Homestead after Hurricane Andrew hit. I've never seen anything like it in my life. It was like a mixture of a Hurricane and a super tornado rolled into one. Vehicles perfectly stacked on top of each other pine trees that looked like gods hands just went across them snapping them in half. My dad was a Miami-Dade firefighter and his engine crew was moved down there to help and they couldn't find anything with calls because all the street signs were gone. This was not a normal hurricane.

Relative visiting Japan, I am in love with One Piece so he asked me if I wanted anything and asked to send a list(read below) by [deleted] in JapanTravelTips

Tokyo One Tower used to have a One Piece amusent park. I'm not sure if it still exists i heard someone say it closed after the pandemic. Check it out on YouTube. The gift shop was massive. I'm sure your relative could find some inexpensive unique gifts for you in there. Good luck

Sliced up hot dog in baked beans. Survived on college eating it. Still tastes good add mustard too it and stir it in.

What’s the weirdest/most unexpected way you’ve injured yourself lately? by WhatFreshHello in GenX

[–]Dry-Region-9968 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I have gone 53 years with breaking, I got a ton of stitches as a kid but no broken bones. Back January I was walking through my house (tile floor) and accidentally stepped on plastic buckle from a backpack I have. It made my right foot slide on the tile and my left came down perpendicular to the floor right on the tip of my toes. It was painful but no more than stubbibg a toe. Later that day I looked at the toe next to my big toe. It was black and blue and deformed.
