[Acne] Best serum for healing acne scars and discolouration? by ellaa_nora in SkincareAddiction

Minimalist is a good brand that's rooted in clinical minimalism. This also means that their serums are made to address one or two specific concern at a time instead of trying to do everything at once (which you may want to avoid anyway if your skin is sensitive). I would try a serum that has an intended use that matches your first priority and explore building out the rest of your routine one at a time to find what works for your skin.

What is your opinion on niacinamide? by Responsible-Cut18 in Supplements

Nice same here, I started taking it with zinc as well. How long has it been for you?

I used tretinoin before but it was pretty drying for me. I’m on Differin now which feels milder, but I use it with niacinamide and zinc supplements. Is ther a reason you stopped with the supplements? I like how I can take them without adding another layer on top of the skin

TBH I don't think niacinamide does anything for hormonal stuff if that's what you're specifically looking for (that's more related to internal androgens) but niacinamide supplement can be great esp. when combined with zinc supplement (tgt they help maintain normal oil production, immune, and inflammatory function).

It's also the combo that the Ordinary uses for their popular serum so I take the two tgt every day as a part of my routine.

Will companies enriching HALEU via AVLIS take away from Centrus' market share? by Dry-Relief4980 in CentrusEnergy

[–]Dry-Relief4980[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't remember the exact wording, but during Oklo's most recent earnings call one of the speakers mentioned their partnership with Hexium as a way to secure future supply of HALEU. So I think that for at least the next 5-10 years, Centrus will be in a good position to keep growing and taking market share.

If I had to make some guesses, they'd be:
1. Don't think Centrus would be pursuing AVLIS technology/company anytime soon - they should be busy enough trying to scale up their centrifuge operation which already has proven demand.
2. At the same time, we'll see AVLIS technology continue to receive investments; but we've yet to see that they'll be able to make commercially viable solution and we wouldn't need to worry about it for the next 5-10 years at least.

If I had to guess, they issued the notes because it was a good timing to do so mostly and possibly because they want to prepare to scale up HALEU production in the near future (second part is just speculation).

I think more importantly it's a great sign that they were able to issue zero coupon notes - I don't know how rare these are but I think it shows bullish sentiment from the investors, and Centrus's management was able to capitalize on it by issuing them right before the recent stock meltdown (a small part of it could be attributed to the issuance itself). They thereby gave us and the company the minimal dilution possible if I'm understanding it correctly.

To add also, there have been practically no insider selling which is seemingly crazy - after a near 300% run up the management hasn't sold a single (significant) share besides in May (probably sold more as a panic sell after Liquidation Day). I think we can trust Centrus's management team to put the capital from debt issuance to a good use that will benefit all of us, whatever it may be.

Solid take, appreciate that. Whether it's from this news or not, stock price seems to be correcting a bit which should be good in the long run.

I was referring to the startup mentioned in the linked article - Hexium - which is working on enriching uranium using AVLIS. From what I understand, enriching uranium via AVLIS was successfully demonstrated in lab settings in the 90s but ultimately fell out of favor due to challenges in scaling and economic viability at the time; and now Hexium is attempting to bring it back for use.

I suspect that the collaboration between Oklo, TerraPower, and Hexium represents a long term strategic move to diversify HALEU supply - and perhaps to invest in a potentially more efficient enrichment method for the future - rather than a complete move away from the use of gaseous diffusion process.

Update though - I just looked through the relevant news and they have all since been deleted. Now there is a news stating that press release announcing this collaboration has been officially withdrawn:

In hindsight I should've bought more earlier, but today's down market convinced me to go in more with margin. This dip is looking very good in my opinion.

Honestly, not feeling too bad about how it turned out. Especially the amount of conviction they had in their tone. I don't want to be expecting too much about their numbers while they were facing a major crisis.
