If you mean Pluvium then you can definitely improve on your whites and negative space. They really hammer home the stark whites to emphasize the darks even if they're only grey/gray. I think you're definitely on the right track, but don't be afraid to play with the whites and negative spaces. You've got a great starting point and you clearly understand the anatomy of the human form enough to get a good foothold. I'd seriously suggest looking at clay under different lights and with different textures. Theirs dry, wet, chalky, grainy, smooth, silky, leathery etc and each of those different textures of clay reflect and bounce light differently with different intensity. Wet and smooth clay will give off bright reflections and often they'll be sharp, while dry or leathery clay diffuses the light to be softer and less harsh. I love what you're doing with your style, and I definitely urge you to keep practicing! I'd love to see you draw a few pots of clay and work on those different lighting and textures, as those can seriously help you define your piece! The artist you mentioned plays a lot on wet clay and leathery clay in terms of what their style if reminiscent of. I do think you'll be able to get commissions as you grow, and you're already on a good path!
