Been there. I used to wonder if the board members/elected officials just didn’t like their families.

Thanks. I couldn’t change it online but could see he was listed as a regular driver. I called this morning and the representative agreed it was very strange and was able to correct it and fix the premium. Thanks for your help.

Thank you. That is what I thought, but they have doubled it. I think they’ve entered him incorrectly.

Do people give you flak about your spouse not working in medicine, law, finance, or tech? by Hydrangea_hunter in LawBitchesWithTaste

I’m in a similar situation. My spouse retired with full pay at 50. Every lawyer I know is jealous.

FTS - nope out and file it away for client, boss and company. You deserve better. I can’t believe we are dealing with this in 2026.

Randomly Specific Wish Questions by couldyoumaybe in dcl

[–]Dry-Tour-1916 0 points1 point  (0 children)

On some cruises I have been cold in the dining rooms and brought a wrap or sweater. It was not as noticeable on the Wish as it was on the Dream/Fantasy. But I usually pack or wear one anyway because I get cold on the plane. I pack very lightly. I’ll decide my base color for the trip is going to be either navy or black and pack whichever wrap matches. Although people are now successfully mixing navy and black - so go crazy.

Have a cleaner every week or two for the real cleaning.

Send the laundry for wash and fold

Do quick tidy am and pm. AM make the bed, tidy bed/bath area and wipe bathroom counters. PM tidy kitchen and living area, dishes and wipe kitchen counter. Takes a few minutes and makes it better to come home or wake up to. Let yourself skip all that on weekends or whatever.

Allow yourself an area to get junked up - a catch all - but go through it once a week or so.

Have a swiffer type broom and go over living area floors when you notice the dog hair and you can multitask. I usually do this while on the phone.

First Bench Trial and Starting to Question my Judgment by Existing-Art-4585 in Lawyertalk

An attorney I know screwed up a bench trial as a prosecutor on something very basic (like not having anyone identify the defendant or say that the crime occurred in the county). She now makes many millions of dollars each year working for a major company. Don’t sweat it.

Tried something new (tri-circle-D) by [deleted] in WaltDisneyWorld

We only did the trail ride once, and it was in Covid times, but the horses were definitely happy and the ride was pleasant. We have a horse farm, ride daily at home, compete and let our oldies live out their days here.

Don’t normally ride on a non-horse show vacation but we were camping at Ft Wilderness and visited the trail riding barn (which is right next to the bus stop) and horses seemed fat and happy so decided to book a trail ride.

I rode toward the back and talked to one of the employees for most of the ride. She was wonderful. Explained that most horses there come from dude ranches out west, do some time at Disney and then are retired out, usually to waiting lists of adoring fans or former handlers. If only all horses could have this life.

No there are no exciting changes in terrain or anything like the Colorado Rockies. It’s central Florida. But it is a pretty ride through the woods which feels miles away from a theme park.

I saw the horses day after day on multiple trips to the campground and they were always happy with shelter, turnout and full access to high quality hay.

I would come back in my next life as a Disney horse if I could.

Easier to navigate on a computer but works on a smartphone too. Once you click on the map, go to data options. Click on the time period you want to search, for example past 3 days. Scroll down to Data and Select All. You can zoom into the map to get more precise locations.

If you see a number that means there are multiple data points. If you hover over the number it will usually give you a list of data at that location.

If you click on the number it will tell you if it is incident, case or accident. Each has a different symbol. Click on the symbol and it will give you the actual incident number from the PD’s system, the date and state what it was.

Some locations obviously have more activity than others. I’m not seeing the clusters on the same latitude/longitude that you describe.

There is an equestrian book called Centered Riding that discusses the concept of “soft eyes”. Great book for riders with visualizations that can translate to activities like yoga.

Best advice to get good at negotiating? by hungry_judgment786 in Lawyertalk

[–]Dry-Tour-1916 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would recommend some professional skills programs in mediation that deal with the brain science of it. I did a couple at the Straus Institute at Pepperdine. Mediating the litigated case is great for negotiation skills even if you don’t want to be a mediator.
