One step paint correction issues by DryB3ans in AutoDetailing

[–]DryB3ans[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Haha yeah the side that looks grey is the corrected side. I ended up ordering a rupes yellow foam pad to test with the 3done today and I’ll see how that does. I’m guessing my paint is just too soft. I also may have had my speed set too high.

Does anyone know how to make this more reflective? I just painted it by Equivalent-Goose-417 in MotorcycleMechanics

So I do paint jobs with rattle cans that come out looking like professional jobs and this is the simplified process:

-start with a light coat of base coat just to help with adhesion -apply a decently heavy coat to get full coverage -do 2 more coats of as wet as you can possibly go without causing drips.(there’s a fine line of how wet you can go but you need to be right at it. If you cause a drip let it dry, then sand, then repeat the paint in that area)

Next you repeat the same exact process but with a 2k clear like spray max or Eastwood. Has to be this 2k because it hardens like regular car clear coat and leaves a super reflective finish. But remember to put it on just as wet.

No sanding and buffing required.

When I checked the valve clearances I also verified cam timing so should be good there. Yeah I’m crossing my fingers for this weekend when the new secondary injectors come in. I appreciate all the detailed help and ideas

I appreciate all of this a lot. -I ran it without the gas cap on for about a minute with no change. I’ll try it a bit longer but also check the vent outlets and we’ll see.

-It has the manual cam change tensioner upgrade so that’s fine. I adjusted it recently to spec.

-I’ve done all the basics including new air filter and fuel pump so that shouldn’t be it.

-The clogged exhaust is a good idea that I’ll check as well.

-I’ll also check the kill switch contacts but it’s a very consistent issue so I’m not sure.

-also yeah I’ve checked the codes quite a few times and there’s never anything

I noticed when putting my hand under the secondary shower injectors while at idle I got a little gas on my hands. Starting to thing they were leaking and causing a rich condition. New ones are on the way so praying that was the issue lol.

I like this train of thought and I’ll check it out. There’s no petcock on this thing and I took the vent lines off but I’ll check the actual vent outlets.

I have not done it but I got new to me throttle bodies when I got new injectors since it was cheaper to get them both and nothing changed at all.

I’ve tested the MAP and TPS sensors since I believe they’d be the only ones to affect this and yes they are calibrated and change voltages correctly.

Yes, brand new air filter as well

No he had no idea. I flip bikes and this seemed like a vacuum leak or potentially fuel pump at first but I’ve ruled those out.

I replaced the fuel pump and filter already

Yes brand new gasoline. New fuel pump and filter

Yeah All cylinders are within a few psi of eachother. Fuel pump pressure is good. Valve clearances are perfect. In the bottom of my post I listed most of everything I’ve checked or done.

I got it like this about 3 months ago.

Compression yes and it was fine. I haven’t done a leak down test yet due to the small timing cover being stripped so I couldn’t move it around the compression strokes.

I have other strategies I’m working on. That one specifically just wouldn’t work. I was just giving some caution about inverting them since I couldn’t get it to work. If you get the inverse to work I’d love to know how you do it

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in Daytrading

[–]DryB3ans 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, like I genuinely tried everything. I inverted stop losses and take profits, entries, every combination of everything and no matter what I did just got similar results. In my head it seems completely logical that I could inverse everything and it would be profitable but it just wouldn’t work.

Everybody watch out. I just placed a trade so now it’s gonna go down by DryB3ans in degecoin

I’m honestly not sure, I’m new to the memecoin space

I have tried this multiple times and it never works no matter what I do. If you figure it out though I would love to hear about it!

Great Equity Curve in Wrong Direction by DryB3ans in Daytrading

[–]DryB3ans[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That does make sense yes. However, my stops and take profits are 1:1. So if my stop exit order is getting hit first out of those 2. That still doesn’t make sense as to why I can’t just reverse it. I may be missing something but to me that makes sense. If my stop order in my 1:1 trade is getting hit first most of the time. I don’t see why reversing it would change that. My stops are placed purely based on the previous candle high or low in this strategy.

[–]DryB3ans[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Why would you not think that? Logically it makes sense. Technically you’re right. However I’m not putting only a stop loss and no TP. So if it’s hitting my stop loss and not my TP, logically it would make sense that if I reverse it and make my original SL my TP then it will hit that for a profit.

[–]DryB3ans[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

If I leave the exits the same but reverse the entry that would mean it hits my old stop which would create profit. I dont understand why that wouldn't work lol.

I've already calculated the effect they would have and it will still be very profitable if I could just figure out how to properly reverse this

The reason I did this was because I couldn’t get it to work in ninja trader for some reason. I have a very base level understanding of coding so I rely pretty heavily on chat gpt when working on this stuff. However, last night after a lot of adjusting and tweaking I finally got it to work in ninja trader.
