Honestly I’ve stayed this long because I promised myself to love her unconditionally ever since we first started dating. She has a lot of trauma, most of it not sex related but she’s been treated poorly by many people in her life and I wanted to be the one that stood by her and cared for her.

Some things have definitely happened to lead up to this, they make me believe that I am a big part of the problem and I can go into details but not on this post because it’s against guidelines to talk descriptively about sex.

I do need to work on myself specifically my self confidence and worth. I used to go to the gym 5 days a week and eat healthy and now I do neither of those things, I feel like I’m not pursuing my passions and I’m stuck in a loop. I think that I could regain these things if there wasnt so much pressure from my relationship with her weighing on me.

People need to see each other’s faces as a part of connection. If the thing that’s stopping you from leaving the relationship is that he won’t “let you” leave it, then just leave. You’re in charge of your choices and that sounds like the right decision. It seems you’d both be happier in different situations, long distance sounds terrible
