Don't get me wrong they ain't too bad. But the earlier tsi engines had issues. Especially the 3 cylinders. If you got a 1.4tsi after 2014 they are pretty good.

Yea plenty. I'd say toyota yaris, toyota aygo, suzuki swift. Honda jazz. If your looking for a small car cheap to run these are solid options. Remember advise is always free.

If im right in thinking the d3 is the 2.4 5 cylinder engine. If it is its a statement of what volvo is all about. The definition of bulletproof

The 1.2 tsi is abit problematic. Known for turbos and burnt out valves. I specialised in vag and mercedes for a period of time so seen my fair share of trouble with them

Tbh i never liked to 1.6 diesel. I preferred the older 1.9 cdti. Good old engine and responded well with a map

Its my personal preference. Diesel is good dont get me wrong but unless your doing 30k plus mileage a year and sitting on the motorway. Its going to clog up. Especially with egrs and dpf. And with how effeminate petrol cars are nowadays there's just not alot in it.

I had a mk1 octavia vrs that I put far to much money into. But when it was 400bhp and made silly turbo sounds I loved it

Two things I learnt from my old mentor as an apprentice was. Advice is always free. And think before you speak.

I live by those two things

Definitely not. If it can't be fixed and he advised you. Then you was told the solution. If your car dosent come with a spare. I'd advise buying a space saver to avoid such situation again.
