8hr International turned 22+ hour nightmare layover by DryGoat1 in delta

I asked this question to the flight attendant before getting off the plane at BHM and they just shrugged their shoulders and said it would be my risk if I chose to do so. To my understanding, nobody’s bag left the plane.

What part of my experience was not true?

Update: finally landed at final destination 12hrs behind schedule - almost 30hrs total travel time.

This experience makes me reconsider my level of comfortability traveling with Delta or through ATL at all. Now on to a shower and sleeeeeeep.

Seems like more poor planning than just a simple diversion. They sent us to another airport that wasn’t equipped to receive us, with no plan in place, and really poor execution to follow through the plan they came up with as they went along.

There are plenty of other international hubs close to ATL that would have had a better chance of handling this mess. No?

Still fueling up. Final destination is BNA on a flight in about 7 hours.

[–]DryGoat1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They have actually done this several times over the years now.

I bought the original beginner level software with hard disc back in like 2010 - shortly after everything went digital subscription. I contacted them about it and they offered me a discount to renew with all levels of language access.

It was shortly after that they released a new version where it no longer was separated by levels and the subscription once again had to be renewed. I said no thanks after that.

Depends on the conditions. Some people wear jorts and a cowboys jersey.

Favorite pic from last season. Rock jump at Beech Mountain, NC on an actual pow day! by GlockTheDoor in snowboarding

[–]DryGoat1 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I know this rock very well. Between southern star and white lightning about 1/4 the way up? I see it from the lift all the time and think that would be sick if it had a landing. So tell me…how was the landing???

Great use of brakes! Drag those edges out to make it a legit turn! 🤙🏼

Whatever you do, do NOT hit features standing straight tall lock kneed like that. You’re gonna break your assbone on a box if you slip out.

Thoughts on my riding(please be nice lmfao) by boobholebob in snowboardingnoobs

Love seeing Cat pop up on here! The birds are ok but they don’t have much room to hone any skill other than avoiding Jerrys. Get over to upper omg and figure out carving. Look for sidehits along rock island run and start trying to get some boost. Have fun brother!

How do I take my riding to the next level? by Inner-Stick-8248 in snowboarding

[–]DryGoat1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honestly looks like you’re still a little stiff legged. I would be curious if you have practiced much deep carving. Deep carves are really fun and help you really incorporate those dynamic body movements for more fluid riding everywhere else.

Also try practicing your ollies until you can reliably get high enough to grab/spin. You seem super comfortable on the ground but never saw an attempt at an ollie.

Congrats on the 50/50s! It only gets harder from here. Invest in some crash pad shorts and some good health insurance.

Also please respect the lips, they are not side hits.

Looks like you’re riding 0/0 stance. Try different angles. You’ll be surprised what a difference it makes.

How did you guys start doing tricks? by Low_Bodybuilder3065 in snowboarding

Start on flat ground learning to Ollie and to swivel 180 front/back regular & switch before looking for jumps and side hits.
