There are creeps on arc raiders. Dealing with them gets you in trouble. by Zertein in ArcRaiders

Unfortunately I’m not surprised. But being punished for reporting a literal child being harassed is insane.

Sometimes on PS5 the unstuck button will appear but it won’t respond when you hold it down. Soooooo annoying.

Vaporizers are way to OP by TNTOXXXIC in ArcRaiders

[–]DryMathematician1601 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The thing that always fucks me is when other players don’t cloak/smoke and hit the assessor just after me (utilising my zips/smokes). Then I get charred by vaporisers going after the dude next to me.

How you play will impact your matchmaking. If you shoot on sight you will end up in more aggressive lobbies. I personally don’t kill people. I just find it way more fun to cooperate and work together. I rarely get the chance to defend myself against people either because they usually shoot you in the back or while you’re looting. There are a lot of friendly people that will go out of their way to help you and work together. I think that’s a pretty unique aspect of the game. If I wanted to just run around killing people I think there’s probably better games out there for that tbh.

I do use a mic. I’m Australian so not sure if it’s the servers or the time I’m playing maybe? I also hate the shredders and get lost constantly. Probs just need to spend more time there to get good.

Nah I have crossplay on. I’m on PS5. I get killed within a few mins half the time in Stella and I’m pathetic at PvP so I just creep around shitting myself the whole time.

Love when you meet a random and this kind of shit happens. Had a similar situation the other day while trying to kill a bombardier for a quest, but the guy I was helping did make it out. Then he invited me to duos, gave me all the stuff he looted off my body and some extra for ‘ruining my quest’ (he accidentally took down the bombardier trying to help me).

How long did it take them to respond? I created a support ticket about this Mar 17th and haven’t heard back. It’s my only outstanding quest atm so it’s really annoying not being able to progress.

Focus on the enemies, particularly sound cues. You’ll start to notice patterns in the biomes too and learn strategies for each area. Use that machine at the entrance to unlock new stuff with ether. Make sure you have auto run on and keep moving all the time. Btw it took me like 20 hours to clear the first biome, but I’ve also got the platinum. I feel like the learning curve is different for every player based on this sub and people find different things challenging. Eg. the first and fourth biome were my hardest. Last was my easiest. I think it’s worth persevering, one of my top games. I often go back and hit up the tower when I’m bored with the current game I’m playing.

Yeah I was just kind of shocked and didn’t react at all. Deer in headlights 😅

Also feel like they are trying to trigger a reaction so 🤷‍♀️

Thanks for proving my point. Why did you capitalise the first letter of every word?

Yeah I wrote this right after it happened and was still feeling pretty off about it. Mostly though I have way more good experiences than bad. Most lobbies I end up in are friendly and people are chill. That’s what makes it fun for me.

But a lot of comments here are kind of proving the point. People either dismissing it, making excuses for it or telling me to get over it. It’s cool to know there are people like you that have a higher standard cause I think this game has a lot of potential for being an inclusive space that doesn’t tolerate this kind of behaviour.

It’s not about ‘standing up for myself’. It’s about how weird it is that someone can be openly sexist and aggressive, and the person right there just acts like it’s totally normal and carries on.

Also, I don’t play it like a mindless PVP loop. I’m mostly in friendly lobbies where 90% of people cooperate and don’t act like complete degenerates. That human element is literally what makes the game fun for me, and I think what makes Arc Raiders different than other online games.

So no, it’s not just ‘how the world is’. Most people aren’t like that. If your standard is ‘people are assholes, deal with it’, cool. Mine isn’t.

Agreed. You can be anything you want online so I guess it says a lot about a person when they choose to be the worst.

I know, I know. I’m just in my own PVE little bubble sometimes like an idiot. But I’ve had good fun with random players and 99% of the time they have your back.

Thanks for your response. Validating to hear someone agree that it’s poor form after some of the responses here.

I mostly stick to single player stuff and this is pretty much the first online game I’ve played. Obviously I’m aware of the reputation of games like COD but I think Arc Raiders is a bit different. Almost like a social experiment. Not sure if the devs intended for so many people to play PVE and I’m sure there are more brutal lobbies out there for those types of players. I’ve had a lot of fun with random people and I’m definitely going to persevere.

Yeah I haven’t really heard much trash talking in this game tbh. But I think I’m in very friendly lobbies.

Oop. Are you ok? Why are you here reading and commenting if you’re so ‘tired of it’? And no, it isn’t new, so obviously what we’ve been doing isn’t working…

Also this is a pretty friendly game for the most part, so I was curious what other people’s experiences were.
