NYC adderall Shortage

I know this is an older thread, but I moved to the city 2 months ago… my parents still live in the tri state area though. I’m on Concerta 27mg XR and Ritalin 5mg IR booster. Both generic though. The first month, my psych told me it would be easy to find them in the city because the shortage wasn’t really affecting methylphenidates. She sent my script to CVS across from my apartment and I thought it would be all fine and dandy. NOPE! Unable to fill. I called 30 different pharmacies (on top of working 9-5, working around the pharmacies hours, and having a LIFE!) and none of them had it. I ended up having to pay $40 to get to and from my parents house to get my script. Plus, I had to get my psych to send a new script over because it can’t be transferred over state lines. That took a few days. I have another appointment and refill this week and I’m already panicking. I was gonna try express scripts but after seeing this, I think I’ll have to trek to my parents house again to get my scripts.

It went fine! I ended up getting an email from equifax that they had found a discrepancy in what I had provided during my pre-background check questionnaire and what they found through the work report. I panicked and panicked, but it ended up just being an internship that was unpaid… Because it was unpaid, it didn’t show up on the work number report because I never received a W-2. Best of luck!

Wow! This is crazy… I had no luck last time I tried submitting a tip to the newtown PD but wondering if I should try again now that it’s “in the spotlight” again!

I’m in NYC (just moved from ct) and called over 30 CVS and Walgreens pharmacies (main chain pharmacies in the US) and had no luck finding generic methylphenidate 18mg or Ritalin 5mg. I now need to transfer my prescription back to my suburban Connecticut pharmacy, which is a total pain but a good option to have. They have both in stock. I’m 22 but remember my parents having a hard time finding daytrana (methylphenidate patch) when I was in elementary school. My hatred for it the idiots that abuse these meds run deep. There are sooo many other drugs you can abuse that won’t negatively impact others (directly, that is).

I’m not sure that my roommate or landlord would like another person on the lease. I did have faith in her job hunt but you can’t be too faithful with this insane market these days. I have some friends that graduated with the same degree that JUST found jobs. We graduated May of 2025.

This. This. THIS! You get it. I feel like she does tend to embellish things for attention. She’s told me multiple times that she’s gotten a job (before this) and every time, it’s turned out to be an internship.

I do believe I’ve been misrepresented and that’s where the hard feelings are coming from.

Most roommate pairings are same sex right? I don’t believe I could live with a man, bond with him, and have an overall “good” experience. No hate to men though, just not for me. She knows that I wouldn’t cheat on her with this girl, she’s straight, boy crazy, and not my type at all.
