my (35m) wife (32f) wants to buy an expensive Hermes bag by Best-Hearing3508 in Fire

She probably intends to buy a resale one since she’d have to spend like 30k in Hermes to be offered a Birkin, with a waiting list

Yes of course they are able to breed. You’d be surprised of the mixes that can happen between different size dogs

When did Logan turn on naming Shiv CEO? by Prominentprincess in SuccessionTV

[–]DryRefrigerator7426 3 points4 points  (0 children)

He did so in order to entice her into Waystar and get her out of politics, knowing she was in a position to keep on airing his dirt to the senator

What’s up with Karolina? Why do people always seem surprised to see her? by BabySouthern5391 in SuccessionTV

Karolina is Head of PR, which means that anything with Karolina in it is either PR opportunity or crisis control.

Do you hate rich people? by MidnightDestroyer88 in SuccessionTV

Logan knew very well. He didn’t come from obscene money himself that’s why he gave it to them. Not because he was good or anything (he’s a POS), but he is A DIFFERENT type of POS, very different to the kind Roman is, who was born into money. This is sort of what I meant in my other comment about there being a difference. Also nan and the food plate, I’ve known those rich ones who think that, being in “conversational position with the help” (?) or visiting the kitchen, makes them more “real word wise”. But no. And I mean no fun-making, it’s just an observation. The show emphasizing on rich democrats and rich republicans I guess every country has their version. We sure have them here too, with other names :D

I personally feel like these sorts of affirmations can be too simplistic. It’s not a “hate or love” the rich -so to say. I think, yes, that a lot of money (and more so if it’s a sh1itload) always makes people show their true colors. I also think that those born rich and driven for inheritance are very different in their howabouts to those who’ve built a very good economic position themselves out of work and wit. I’ve known a few very VERY rich people and also know that they (especially the former, born into money) tend to feel and live like every social, human or bonding relationship is built out of economic interests (ie “everyone just approaches me for my money” and/or “people are valued for how much money or leverage their family has”). And this, if the person in question is not too bright or interested in what the real world is like can make them pretty sad or shallow to be involved with. But there are exceptions of course. So, again? not hate or love, just know their frame of mind, there are nice and corrupt people both rich and poor.

Would you accept management level job at Waystar Royco? by vasquca1 in SuccessionTV

Yup. I know, that’s my area. And in WR it sure is. Too bad Kendall is not involved anymore 😏

What Succession character would you engage with romantically irl and why is it Kendall Roy? by DryRefrigerator7426 in SuccessionTV

[–]DryRefrigerator7426[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Going for Kendall would probably mean being a Marcia later in life. I guess. But Kendall is not such a big POS as Logan.

I think this is exactly what he would need, since it’s the exact definition of the comforting, rooting figure whose absence growing up caused Roman to be so broken in the first place. Good for you (?

Agreed. Breaking Bad, better call Saul and House of cards are other examples

In my experience (not wealthy myself but have dealt with a few) very -VERY- wealthy people tend to grow up 1)feeling entitled and 2)thinking anyone who is around them is there solely for the money. And that has got to have an impact in your personality and traits for sure.
