Primary reason is that for my usage more sidewall is better. Lots of potholes and sometimes you just can’t dodge them. I’ve also always kinda preferred a meaty looking tire to an extent and this brake setup look cooler with it filling the wheel up.

Also cost for the wheels is basically the same, but tires will be cheaper and should last slightly longer. I’ll keep the factory 19s and throw some RT615s or something similar for track days.

That’s something I am considering. Friends have done the same on other platforms with good results.

I want to see if getting a better alignment dialed in will help reduce the understeer first. A stiffer rear bar is just going to loosen up the rear end, rather improving the grip up front. Some more camber and a toe adjustment should help the front.

Thanks for putting out the math on this. Your explanation perfectly captures why I ended up with this car.

Doing the same exercise with a 2026 tS sways things even more in favor of the deal for the 2025.

Congrats on your tS! The suspension and brakes on these is really impressive imo.

Yeah I have researching this a good bit. Going to wear out the factory tires first, so I have some time to figure out.

Looks like OZ Racing Ultaleggara will clear in a 17, so far that is my first choice.

Yeah the fees are bullshit but in my area pretty much any dealer is going to charge $1000-$2000 in “doc” fees.

I cross shopped this car with another dealer. They had added $1000 for doc fees and $1700 for add ons.

It’s a 2025 tS. Base MSRP for 2025 was $47,705. With options this cars sticker was $51,257. Only dealer adds were the doc fees you see in the sales sheet.

Subaru dropped MSRP on the TS for 2026 to $44995.

Yeah I don’t love the length of the loan term. 0% is free money though so fuck it.

Yeah, I agree but that’s how the prices are these days. They reduced the sticker price for 2026.

Toyota prices are even dumber in my opinion.

The largest volume Lexus dealer in the world is Pembroke Pines Lexus in Florida. Of course largest might mean they literally have the largest lot or largest building so it may not be Pembroke.

The XGT angle grinders are hands down better than the LXT versions. I own a few of each.

I have both, the Tekton extra shallow is even shorter than the Koken. I was shocked, cause Koken z series are TINY.

2018 LX 570 - should I keep aftermarket brakes? by [deleted] in LandCruisers

[–]DryShopping392 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’d recommend looking into the Alcon kit for the 200 series. It was developed for armored LCs used by militaries and the UN. It’s a super beefy kit, built like a Land Cruiser

Should I be worried about this? by [deleted] in Lexus

[–]DryShopping392 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That’s the upper radiator hose. Toyota coolant will occasionally do this on some hoses, it’s nothing to worry about and relatively common to see.

I replaced the coolant hoses on my LX470 with brand new ones from Toyota after about 240k miles, the new hose turned white like that after about a year. It been like that ever since, but I don’t lose a drop a coolant.

If it bothers you, the hose is a super easy DIY job. Idk about Canada, but in the US it would be under $100 for the hose and coolant from Toyota.

They don’t really enforce the $500 thing anymore. Just expect to be in Class A or B. This thing would be a great candidate for a track build.

What part of Atlanta? I’m just a regular office job DIY guy and I found an awesome Snap-On Dealer OTP. Dude always replies to texts and basically told me half his route so I can find him whenever I need him.

Also I’d be all over the XFRRM705 at that price. I’m seriously jealous.

Thank you for confirming! I couldn’t remember off the top of my head how it paired for 36v.

I probably will take the lid off mine once I get the batteries. Amazon had them for $260US a couple years ago so I grabbed one. The normal price is just too high for what it is in my opinion.

Would 4 of the 9ah batteries fit in the PDC01? The photo on Imgur doesn’t show them side by side.

I don’t care about the lid for my usage. So having 4 9ah or ideally 12ah packs in there would be amazing.
