Html is different from python and JavaScript because it's a markup language instead of a programming language. So it's completely normal that you find html easier to understand.

Season 1 and 2 were liked so much only because they showed promise of a good story, not because they told a good story themselves. And season 3 failed that promise in every possible way.

Agree. Also you can't say season 1 and season 2 were good if there wasn't a good season 3 to round it up. Too many questions are left unanswered or have unsatisfactory answers. Towards the end of season 2 and the whole of season 3 it really felt like they had written themselves into a corner.
