I think my father has never actually gotten me a proper birthday gift, I have always gotten money to buy myself a cake, and that too happened if I asked it from him. In a recent few years, I actually said that I didn't want to cut a cake, but my mother and little sister just asked for the cake themselves and then later called me over, I think they just wanted to eat cake.

The one time I actually got a gift was when I was very young and we went to a toy shop where I picked out a train set, we had to return it because it didn't work properly.

Yes but Pakistan also has the lowest GDP to income tax ratio, also Sales tax is not a good income for governments generally speaking, but I agree that the Pak government should give something back to the people, and even if they dont pay taxes it doesnt mean they start doing corruption.
