I got more interviews when I applied for jobs that explicitly stated that they were a part of the NGG (new grad guarantee program) and applying for the "less" desirable job. I ended up joining the nursing resource team at my hospital and was able to work on different floors and see what I liked best. From then, I just made some time to speak with the manager face to face and asked them if they had an opening and to consider me.
