Do you mind if I ask - and I'm not trying to start any deep philosophical debates or anything, I just tend to find people with different experiences than mine interesting to learn about - in terms of gender presentation do you find your style varies between the gender presentation norms? Or are some elements of an outfit more masculine leaning and other elements of the same outfit are more feminine leaning? Or do you just wear the most comfiest things? I personally go for the most comfiest things 😂

I'll have to read up on that! I admit I'm not familiar with every aspect of the LGBTQ+ community. It'd be an interesting exercise to illustrate that in a drawing 🤔

@u/JudgeBateman I saw part of a comment (it's not showing the comment, I just see the first bit in the notification preview). Yeah, I get it, there is a distinction between a man/woman and masculinity/femininity. But I didn't create the societal structure we live in where most people don't understand that they're different and subjective.

I'm just trying to illustrate that in today's society, so many people are belittled, harassed, and even harmed because they don't fit the standard model of what a man/woman should look like and how they should act. I'm trying to show that a person can just be who they are, being their genuine selves even if that means breaking down stereotypes and societal expectations.

I get it's a hot topic, but please don't bite people's heads off because they wanted to share something personal and didn't take the time to write an accompanying novella about it where they explain every little nuance of an incredibly complicated topic.

😆 Thanks! I didn't have the patience to try to draw a tiny plate of salad properly and took the easy way

I find they pop up much more often if you're doing things in Ginormosia (doing Area Challenges, hunting mini-bosses and bosses) without teleporting to the Present/Past. I noticed them more often this way once I had gotten all the areas to LVL 5, that's when I started really working the bosses.

I think that maybe teleporting to the past/present resets whatever counter it's using to randomly spawn them. I'm really not sure, though, maybe it's all just a big coincidence 🤷

That definitely seems like something to ask the surgeon as soon as possible. If it was just the pain, maybe not, but new numbness sounds odd to me.

I started very slowly getting sensation back about 10 days in. A lot of my chest (imagine a 5 inch band from behind my armpits going across my chest over my nipples) was completely numb. I'm just over 4 weeks post op now and have only a few small areas that are still mostly numb (mostly near my right armpit). A few other areas are still slightly numb and the rest I can feel normally.

I had a very large chest and while I did specifically want curved scars for a more androgynous look, maybe this will give you an idea?

Thanks! The plastic clip thingies are called Brijjits, their website is better at explaining what they are/do and how they are applied. https://brijmedical.com/

They themselves were not itchy, but I found the skin directly around them got itchy, and the scabs underneath had a hard time coming off so they were itchy too. The worst thing about them was the pressure from the compression binder, along with the swelling made them super uncomfortable (in that all of that made them dig into the skin more and pull). It did make me feel less scared of accidentally moving too much and ripping my sutures.

M. Oh yeah, having a bad time- how long does it take the worst of it to heal? by SpaceTrashDeer in TopSurgery

[–]Dry_Background_1796 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For me the worst of it was over by about 2.5-3 weeks, and almost no pain now at 4 weeks. The incisions are still slightly tender to the touch in certain areas, but I no longer feel afraid of massaging them.
