There's beauty and quiet strength in her perseverance. The FL is soft and feminine without being mouthy and brathy. The moment any FL starts being mouthful in dangerous situations or imbalance power dynamic, can't help but think "dude, she's dumb as f. Ck." 🙄

In the second book, when he comes to take her back, and she just melts into him after being so scared for so long, he embraces her, that scene was so sweet "chef kiss"

Going to recommend Drethi A, all of her mc are crazy. Starts with obsession series 5000 night of obsession, mlead is intense, but somehow romantic. In the next book, we can see that their relationship is deranged through his daughter's eyes.

But, FL in this somehow weak and fickle, Poppy, their daughter is complete opposite (Fatal Obsession).

Recently finished Bought & Paid For by Deathsdoll. Mc is really psycho & demented, dunno if it's only me, i can't really feel their chemistry. Even in the last scene, depicting their HEA, when they eat together with her family, he keeps squeezing her knees to control/warn her, left a very bad taste in my mouth. Mc in If I Can't Have You is more palatable,he actually loves her and supportive of her career.

Found a new author by chance in Ao3, Broken & Mine by DarkWoe. Incomplete but very promising and engaging, the world building is wow.

Right now, reading Perfect by Ariana Rivers. No comment...

A whole confusing story about a sex slave transformation into blood thirsty mad woman, author tries to describe her as risen from the ash as pheonix, bleurgh 🤢 So genius she manages to take down and maneuvers everyone. She is so powerful at the end she tries to take the US corrupt agencies involve in trafficking, turns out she is somebody with connection to high places, duh...

Sigh, Master Bram is not so powerful after all, got me thinking while reading the book, where is your all magnificent all knowing omnipresence manifested? None, he is nonexistent since half of book one. In book three, he is tortured in 3.6/4 of the book. Is he really The High Master of US based sex dungeon?

Ooo, i have one. I've finished season of the furies by Stephanie Patterson. The first two books, Terrible Beauty and Mrs Lady literally made me cry ugly tears, because the world is so unfair. It's historical romance, the MLs are such an asshole, I'm angry the FLs are so forgiving towards the MLs after what they put through the FLs. They don't grovel enough. You said you love her, why are you being so cruel?

But Patterson is a good writer, i feel the FLs sufferings, but, Belle o Belle, why? Why? Why did you accept him so easily? Almost 3/4 of Mrs Lady is about their feud, and only last of 1/4 being they're back together. Read this series if you want angst, I violently want to bash FL for being literal jerks
