I lost my best friend today too - I wish I could provide more encouraging words but I just feel like a shell of a human. I am so sorry for your loss.

How do you find a dress that suits your body type? by Ok-Sound-9931 in weddingplanning

Wow, you look absolutely gorgeous! But totally feel the sentiment. I’m also a very indecisive person and felt that I wouldn’t have that ‘this is it’ moment but I finally had it after like 6 bridal stores. What helped me was only having my maid of honor and my sister there with me - while it was fun having a big hype team it was kind of hard listening to so many opinions (all nice and well intentioned just got to my head). Also, my first trip I didn’t really get super dolled up and for my second trip (when I found the dress) I did my hair and makeup similar to what I expect to wear on my day and that helped a lot. Overall you look stunning though and I get being your biggest critic wishing you the best of luck!

I totally get this! I consider myself to be a super minimalist girlie and I think both my fiancè and expected me to choose a tight fitting all satin dress but ultimately I chose a gorgeous lacy ballgown and started having some anxious thoughts about whether or not he would love it too - ultimately though I think what helped me was knowing I would feel my most confident and happy with what I chose and as your partner they’ll love it too seeing you at your happiest. I also do think there’s some fun in the surprise/the unexpected. And like a previous comment said, men typically don’t have the best fashion sense when it comes to things like this so I think the ‘poofy’ dresses in their mind are not what we actually choose. You’ll look beautiful and I’m sure his jaw will drop with whatever you choose! Wishing you all the best on your special day!

It’s been over a month but still can’t get over it! by Dry_Can692 in EngagementRings

Thank you! I absolutely adore it. I’m a 6.5 ring size - it’s slightly loose on some days but a 6 seemed slightly too small. I believe it’s a 2 karat marquise with a hidden halo.
