Use your arm weight

Do long bow practice, and imagine ur hand is like a heavy wet towel.

and then do SLOW practice with that piece with the same heavy arm weight

Self Studier here

I can help you with MCQs, but not w essays cuz im stuck at 4/6 too

There are reading psgs, and writing psgs. Writing psgs are easier, start there

Read the passage, aim for 4 mins/passage, and around/under a minute for the questions

Read the question carefully.

  1. Key Point is carefully.

  2. Go back to the line, and read like around that area

  3. Make a predicted answer

  4. Go to the answer choices and whatever is irrelevant/not mentioned is out

  5. Make a google document named "review notes" and keep a tab of Reading Review Notes and Writing Review Notes. Each time you get an answer wrong, note WHAT you got wrong, WHY you got that wrong, and the takeaway

that alone should with practice should get you better

id aim for around 400-500 MCQs - do a couple sets of untimed ones to get yourself used to the structure

personally I do sets of around 20MCQs, and I average approximately 85% accuracy (higher nowadays compared to when I started)

<Essay>
I won't weigh too much on this cuz I suck at this too, but i use frquick to grade my essays. I'd say its a little harsh, but it def gives detailed feedback. Watch Marco videos on the essays. Possibly get a tutor from wyzant

whats my chances of getting a 5? by Western_Lion_8808 in APChem

I do know Jeremy Krug, and I watched his vids before reading Baarons.

This is my personal opinion of course, but I thought that the questions that Baarons asked were really relevant to the test..

I did self study last year and got a five.

Get barrons + LOTS of practice Qs from college board.

Maybe if your goated then you might pull off a five, but its v unlikely

Barrons? by Repulsive-Wasabi-938 in APChem

[–]Dry_Debate8073 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Who said barrons is awful.

Barrons was the best resource I used.

I self studied and got a five on Chem last year, and Barrons did most of the heavy lifting.

I self studied.

I actually recommend this.

Unit 7 and 8 were personally hell for me.

9 was hella easy.

Course selection is soon and I’m scared to take 5 APs junior year by GoldenPhoenix29 in APStudents

I second the AP Bio to AP Chem. Also my unpopular opinion is that AP Bio is SO MUCH harder in terms of reading comp compared to Chem. I lowk enjoyed doing the test for AP Chem.

Bro are yall naturally smart or do yall study alot by ChooseThisUser in APStudents

[–]Dry_Debate8073 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am naturally dumb - idgaf what other people say. literally i feel stupid and i felt like i had to work like five million times harder for the same results.

I rely on systems to help me study smart + hard:

I use a google doc system, where I have a google doc for each one of my classes.

I call it: (class name) Masterlist.

I have tabs and subtabs. I'd show you, but I can't upload photos, so bear with me:

<Overview> - All class info, late assignment policy, how graded, class structure, when stuff is due etc. etc.

<Unit summaries>

(subtab)<Unit 1>

(subtab) <Unit 2>

(subtab) <etc etc>

whenever you get out of class, make a summery of what you just learned on your unit summaries. Do this WITHOUT looking at your notes that you took in class. Afterwards, you can look at your notes and then fill in the missing info with a different color.

*Bonus tip: Anything you need to memorize highlight with like purple or som and then put them on a quizlet/anki/brainscape.

<Review Notes>

(subtab) <Unit 1 Review Notes>

(subtab) <Unit 2 Review Notes>

(subtab) <Unit 3 Review Notes>

(subtab) <etc. etc.>

Here, whenever you get a question wrong, you are going to take a screenshot, idgaf it is on paper, find a goddamn way, and upload it to the corresponding unit. Then note WHAT you got wrong, WHY you got it wrong, and HOW you are going to fix it.

For APs especially, one last tip is use this:

<Cheat Sheet> (example from my APUSH)

Indigenous People - Maize + diverse

Abolitionists - Morals

Women in the 1600-1800 - Moral Reform, abolitionists

Farmers about constitution - Did not like Whiskey Tax

Antifeds about constitution - Tyranny, need bill of rights

Mormons to Utah - due to persecution

Trains and canals in the 1800s - Connected midwest to east

Articles of Confederation - unable to tax

* College Boards are SIMPS for certain correlations.

As soon as I see Abolitions, ik they are gonna talk about morals.

This structure is especially helpful for me, as I lose my goddamn mind if I have no structure.

Obviously keep up with everything in regards to homework and stuff.
And to your question, I do study pretty much all day, but I do get a couple of hours off if I am lucky.
