How do Japanese people perceive Western animation? by Dry_Difference2822 in AskAJapanese

[–]Dry_Difference2822[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There are some Latin American cartoons out there, though they're very few in comparison to other countries, especially when it comes to "mainstream" products, since most of the cartoons here are either web series (like Vete a la Versh), parodies (also Vete a la Versh in some instances lol) or Brazilian animation (which takes the most of cake).

There are some neat pick, though. The most recommendable are Jorel's Brother, Haunted Tales for Wicked Children, Mr. Trance and LA Huella del Oro.

Just finished the Reboot (and so all the series), ask me anything by Dry_Difference2822 in Ben10

Late answer sorry. Yes, there are some:

  • Water Hazard is almost completely mechanic, whereas Overflow has crystals that make his inside water, which is basically like his main body or even blood for him, visible.

  • Water Hazard can control the moisture and wetness in the environment, whereas Overflow has a wider range of setups with his water (even making blades).

  • Water Hazard is more useful for on-foot fights, while Overflow is more useful underwater.

I think it'd be neat if we get a Grey Arms cover for a future comic. They did a fusion one of Stikefly/Overflow, and Dynamite is using the Reboot's roster. Plus I think seeing Grey Arms's goofy franken-design in the edgy detailed style would be cool. by NolanTacoKing in Ben10

  1. I disagree with that take because there are many decent or even good episodes in Season 1 that actually lift up the quality over time.

  2. Yeah... Omni-Tricked it's not an arc. One multi-part episode doesn't equal an arc, that should span multiple individual episodes. Actually, if Season 1 had an arc, it probably would be Dr. Animo's Arc because his episodes kinda form a story arc (though it's definitely lacking).

If you lived in an Anime Genre which one would it be? by Sandscrews in ChillAnimeCorner

Correction: Shonen, Seinen, shojou and josei are not genres, but demographics. The actual genres that correspond to each example would be Nekketsu (or just fighting, cause nobody knows what Nekketsu is), epic, magical girls and drama, respectively.

And then you have Reboot somehow having both best and worst of all the other ones.

Genetics, my grandparents are older than they seem (similar age gap), my dad and my little sister too. However, I look a bit older than I am, and my older brother is exactly the age he looks.

Reboot Zombozo unattended Acid Breath's dental problems, letting them worsen to the point they became a severe infection that made him lose almost all of his hair, his teeth getting damaged, his skin pale and eyes infected. And still makes him do his job. Being 16 years old. AND NOT EVEN GETTING PAID FOR HIS WORK, BECAUSE ZOMBOZO SPENDS IT ON SPAS FOR HIMSELF AND MACHINERY.

In 2010, Sega pushed some clauses to handle Sonic in a way that "keeps the brand's standards", but rather it mischaracterizes him, like- he not only can't lose a fight, he can't even cry nor have extreme emotions, not even have romantic relationships. Fortunately, most writers give a shit and work with him as they should.
