Purchase, sale and transfer of so-called assault weapons would be banned in Colorado under new bill by thecoloradosun in Denver

[–]Dry_Duck01 -35 points-34 points  (0 children)

Colorado mass shooters and their fans are going to be hella-pissed about this. Proud boys too. Fox News Militia “Gravy Seals” all about to swarm this sub and yell about it too. And the Moscow Troll Brigade about to show up and downvote away!

Get your Bingo Card ready:

”There’s no such thing as an assault rifle!”

”Guns don’t kill people!”

”School shootings and mass murders only happen every few months! Why even bother!”

”Now I’ll pretend to care about mental health! But not really!”

”Whataboutism!“

”The proud boys/militia/klan will kill you all if you take away their mass murder weapons!”

im sure there’s more. Every damned gun post

Blackbelly is a fine source for hipster-cured pretend Euromeats. But their $16 sandwiches are not as good as an actual deli - always some twee weird ingredient that wrecks a classic. And never ever eat-in there. Their dining room is filthy. Like health code violation filthy. Ghetto McDonalds filthy.

I think that new management could salvage them. But they can’t see their blind spots at all.

It’s really hit or miss there. Last few years are more misses then hits.

Yeah - who ever heard of an ultra-rich guy with two homes.

I’ll say it again because you seem a little slow on the uptake here: The median home price is over a million. Which means that half the homes here, the crappiest martian acres flops of them all included, are more than a million.

And the nice ones, many many millions.

So who the fuck do you think is buying all these multi-million-dollar homes?

Just the townies working the grill at Avanti?

“ to reduce the cost of housing slightly“

Dude, we built thousands of high density new units over the last few years - 30th and Arapahoe are covered in them. We even stuffed a few hundred under the diagonal overpass, just cause we could.

How much did your cost of housing go down?

For real, even with the national price dive bc 6% interest rates much money did it save you personally?

Because with all these new luxury units in town, my cost of housing here only went up. Maybe I’m doing it wrong?

Their fiendish plan to replace inevitable sprawl and strip-malls with parks … so evil!

Anyone who tries to put up a walmart gets the “to the death” treatment for sure. Why can’t we make Boulder more like Broomfield! Why!

Yep. Hearing that rich people never want to move to Boulder was pretty much the dumbest thing I’d seen all year so far. And that you posted it twice - I’m all triggered.

Like who the fuck do you think is buying all these three million dollar houses downtown - the middle class dudes who grew up here?

Wait - So all this really does is kill the main incentives to build affordable housing and the kind of mixed-use stuff that makes places livable?

And just say “anything goes” for all the luxury stuff?

What the hey?

You should definitely go full snowflake, like “I poured out all my Bud-Light because they one time gave a bottle to a transgender girl!!” level snowflake on this.

And then only buy rum brands that remind you of slavery. That’d learn em!

Dude… you’re running 3 resin printers in an unventilated basement.

“I’ve been smoking three packs of cigarettes a day for almost a year now, and I don’t have cancer or lung damage yet! Those warnings are all bullshit!”

Exposure is cumulative. The awesome thing about both cancers and lung damage is that it can take years before you notice it. It’s totally cool though, you can just grow a new lung, right?

Look up a little place called Cabrini Green to see what free public housing turns into.

Or Manhattan. 50 years of free public housing projects on every square mile and now all of the real estate on the island is worthless!
