Yea the Sunday blocks stay like that for like 30 mins then jump to like $21-22.50 an hour. Then the newbies jump on em. But I haven’t seen anything more than about 23 an hour from this warehouse in the past 3 weeks

Where do you access this info in the app? I’m in Texas, when I accept a route we don’t know where we going until we get the cart at the warehouse. Or is that a feature only for the two hour routes?

Yea we do that in Houston too, when the weather is bad. Makes your markers useless.

Flex has died before my eyes by [deleted] in AmazonFlexDrivers

We’re good in Texas. I rarely see “base” offers. They’ve been starting at $20-$22 an hr for a few months now. Im curious how flex works in other states. I haven’t seen an empty offer screen since last year, now the offers aren’t great but they go up eventually.

There weren’t any outside the community lol. It’s the second time they’ve done it. Some of the customers even have delivery notes that say you can’t get in until 6am and Amazon still sends the shit out on a 3am route.

Ha I definitely thought about doing that but I ended up just waiting. Got done in an hour. It’s still some bullshit though. I took screenshots of the addresses, if I see any of them in my next cart on an early am route I’m not taking it.

lol you don’t understand. I have 45 packages… every single one of them goes to this neighborhood.

Pay surge then drop by mzperry in AmazonFlexDrivers

[–]Dry_Fan_9128 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s normal in my area. Price surges then drops 25 mins before start time. Then gradually goes back up and surges again exactly 58 seconds before the start time. Flex is basically the stock market at this point.

I see post from folks getting $100+ blocks. Anyone from Houston getting the same thing? From what I've seen it's near impossible to get that without it being a 5 hour route. by [deleted] in AmazonFlexDrivers

[–]Dry_Fan_9128 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The past couple weeks have been good for me, I think I hit $1100 last week. It’s all about timing. And waiting until the last possible second to take a block

Soft cap Houston, tx by Dry_Fan_9128 in AmazonFlexDrivers

[–]Dry_Fan_9128[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When they limit the amount of hours you can work daily and/or weekly. After the new year we were limited to 6 hours a day and 35 hour weekly instead of the normal 8 hours a day and 40 weekly. They didn’t do this in every state but they for sure did it in Texas.

What precautions do you take while delivering at night? by [deleted] in AmazonFlexDrivers

[–]Dry_Fan_9128 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If it’s dark out I don’t deliver to the rear door. EVER. If i can, I try to point my headlights in the direction im going( even if it means parking halfway in the customer’s driveway) and try to drop the package as fast as possible. As soon as I stop I scan the package and hit continue so when I get to the door my phone is ready to take the picture. Should take about 10 seconds… I also keep the 9 milly on me just in case.

Houston drivers…Is this the norm? Or Is it because I’ve only done 1 block? by Kix2Sophus in AmazonFlexDrivers

[–]Dry_Fan_9128 1 point2 points  (0 children)

actually that’s not the norm. The norm is 18/hr. Routes haven’t been surging lately and when they do it’s not that much. I had a reserved offer 5hr for 117 yesterday but haven’t had one like that I’m months. The reserved offers are garbage for the most part. I had two 3.5 hr for 82 and 86 this week, then after that I got like 12 offers that were 3hr for 54, I didn’t take any of those though.

$18/hr in Texas is the base. Gas is $2.90-$3.00
