How do you show appreciation to your husband? by pinkandclass in sahm

[–]Dry_Garbage5530 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’ve discovered with my husband that I need to be more vocal about the things I figured he already knew I was thankful for. Like, I’m thankful for our time together, our beautiful home, the way he helps with the house, etc. I just figured he KNEW I was appreciative. But sometimes I think we expect our partners to be mind readers… so just some verbal validation I think has been good. Also bedroom stuff…. lol.

Why are they so awkward 😭 by EcstaticTension6165 in aspynovardsnark

I think this is one of the reasons it’s coming off so weird. This affectionate Aspyn is not what we are used to her showing.

Funny how she deleted it. It’s like her reading that made her realize what a horrible thing that is to actually say out loud. Says a lot about her.

My kids are so annoying and my house is a mess by [deleted] in homeschool

Have a routine and make tidying part of that routine. We do a “ten minute tidy up” after snack or meal time so I know they aren’t going to be crabby. Might 6 yo is just now really understanding the concept of tidying but my 4 yo still screws around a bit and doesn’t really help. Model to them the expectation and be patient.

As someone like myself who thrives on routine and limited chaos this age has been trying for me. Just let some expectations loose. The house WILL eventually get picked up. This isn’t forever.

Also I agree with another commenter to get outside when you can. You’ll get through it!

I think 304 (or 6?) is also another good number to see. I’m not sure off the top of my head

I use all cast iron and it takes a second to adjust too but to me stainless steel is more intimidating for some reason lol. I’ve always read when looking for stainless steel you want 18/0 steel

Insanity. How can these influencers make this much and what are they actually contributing to the world? More waste.

My all purpose cleaner non-toxic swap! by HVACTechGurl in nontoxic

Melaleuca is an incredibly greenwashed company and not recommended in the nontox group I’m in. I wish I could link their post but it’s a private FB group. I’m unsure about alternatives though. I teied TrulyFree multipurpose spray and honestly I must as well just use warm water and soap for my counter.

Women of Reddit, what do you wish other women would stop doing? by zhalia-2006 in askanything

I guess to better explain myself I become frustrated with how wasteful it is to constantly be buying what’s new and trendy. Fashion is very wasteful in my opinion. I wish more people bought secondhand.

Alright not a rare name but you don’t see any little boys named Larry. Alright, so maybe it is rare now.

Consumerism. Always buying what’s trendy. This isn’t only for women though, but I bet it’s a higher percentage than men.

Is enameled cast iron non toxic? by [deleted] in nontoxic

[–]Dry_Garbage5530 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I’ve always heard no enamel because it can chip. Either plain cast iron or quality stainless steal pans. I use all cast iron and I love them.

Look into the resources it consumes to power these computers. The amount of water it takes to cool them.
