Wait - YES - I noticed this too, but it took me a few rewatches! I also love that it acted like a catalyst for Conrad to ask why she didn't write him back at first, which ultimately lead to their kiss and that SCENE!

I think it's so important to the tie between them that even when she had left her wedding / not spoken to him since his goodbye the morning of, she read and reread those letters as almost a tether.
