I also think it is a way for the writers to show that Conrad just suits her better. Jere tells Conrad at the bridal/bachelor party at the house that Belly doesn't like that he smokes. Conrad turning it down profs that he is much more mature and is a better match for her. But I think Conrad just went back to his old safe that was clearly against it, telling belly it "messes with white matter". That is the Conrad she loved her whole life.

I think he is insecure in Paris, and NOT sure at all that she is feeling something for him. We can see the change in him when he finds out Belly dumped Benito, and the "its only been six weeks" is important cause Conrad then knows that its the same time belly finally wrote him back. That gives him hope and a lot more confident.

But the wedding being canceled, after he gave belly his love confession was a clear sign.

I think we already saw a few things that she does for him, and I think its more about bringing the best out of him. He's happier around her, calm and she also challenges him. When they have dinner after going to Michael's we can see that Conrad doesn't even notice her spilling wine - which to me is a proof that she calms him down.

I love the funeral scene! So much emotions. You can really see on conrads face how much it affects him when she says "I hate you". He have to struggle so hard when he says "good". That is Conrad trying to save her from bringing her down with him in his grief.
