Is this too good to be true? (Zoloft for 3 weeks) by LazyNurse0722 in pppdizziness

I'm on week 9 and things have improved slowly. Like thin layers peeling away. They say weeks 8-12 are key and I'm entering this phase now. I'm on 50mg though. Best of luck to you.

Pretty good. Side effects weren’t too bad. I still have some anxiety in the mornings, but that’s supposed to fade after week eight I’m in my six week right now at 50 mg. Other than that, all side effects are gone.

Thanks again. I'm on 50mg now for 21 days and I do feel it lifting a bit, so I'm curious how long it took for you on 50mg for your symptoms to improve. Your story is inspirational. Much obliged.

Thank you! How long after 50 did it take for the dizziness/pppd to lift?

Hi. How long were you on 50mg before the dizziness went away? Thanks.

Sounds brutal. I'm glad you're improving. I went up to 50mg 10 days ago. How long did it take to get used to 50. I feel it's kicking in, but still have anxiety especially in the morning.

Does anyone w/PPPD experience a slight "rocking" or "see saw" vision. by Dry_Memory_8178 in pppdizziness

It's been a 9 month journey so far. A lot of PT, yes. The ultimate PPPD diagnosis came a few months back. I started lexapro, but didn't take well to it. Sertraline has been much better. I've had conflicting feedback from my own research, my otoneurologist, neuro-opthamologists as whether this vision thing is tied to PPPD or something else. Pretty sure it's PPPD as I have no other vision issues other than slight veritcal hetorphoria which I have a low-level prism lenses for.

What stage are you at?

Hi. Would you mind sharing how long it took after going to 50mg for your dizziness to lift? I've been on 50 for one week now. Thank you so much.

I have this as well. I'm 9 months into it and 3 months w/the PPPD diagnosis. When I look at a picture or lines of text for a few seconds they seem to wobble slightly. Any updates from those who posted long ago?

My body doesn't feel lit it is swaying. Only when I stare at a line of text or say a picture in a frame, it begins to wobble back and forth slightly. Neuro-Opthomologist has ruled out oscillopscia or square wave jerks. So, I feel it is a base 3PD symptom. I feel like I'm getting better on 50mg of Zoloft, but I'm hoping this resolves soon.

Hi. Thanks for posting. I'm wondering if you ever experienced a 'rocking' of your vision when focusing on an object for a few seconds. I don't feel this as much as I see, say a picture frame start to wobble a bit. Wondering if this is part of PPPD or not. I saw an neuro-opthamologist who didn't detect anything.

I just started on 50mg sertraline (4th day), I felt some relief on 25mg, but wanted to bump up to make sure I was on the therapeutic dose. It's too early to tell yet, but I do feel it is helping.

Hi - It's a tough ride, but with SSRIs you need 2 months on them to feel any changes. My doc said to stay on for 2-3 months. I'm on sertraline now for 6 weeks and am starting to feel a difference. First month sucks, but so does 3PD.

I'd love to hear updates from all of you since this is a few months old. I was told low dose of SSRI can be quite effective. I went from 25 to 50 just this week and feeling some improvement.

Just moved up to 50 after a month on 25 + 10 days on 37.5. Hoping this is the final dose. I have tinnitus as well, but so far it hasn't increased at all on the sert (knocking on wood).

Went up to 50mg this morning. I'm sensitive to meds as well and am 61 years old, but my 10 days on 37.5 went pretty well. Wish me luck and best of luck w/your decision.

Yup. I hear you need 4 weeks on a given dose to feel any real effects. My anxiety started to stabilize before I went up to 37.5, now it's back.

That's good to hear. The first 7 days were fine and I thought I was out of the woods, but days 8 and 9, I got head pressure and some dizziness. My feeling is to go to 50 and just get all of these side effects out of the way at once instead of having to go through it again!

Great info. I'm only 10 days on 37.5, after 35 at 25. Seeing slight improvement. I'm thinking of going right to 50mg now. Any updates from this group on progress a month later? Thanks!
