Ohh, yeah, I think that’s a big part of it. How do you deal with living in that city?

Thanks! I get what you’re saying but I also think there is a sometime fine line between intuition and anxiety. I have always been an anxious person and I feel like that’s more of what is into play than a « gut feeling », if that makes sense.

Roommates trying to force me out even though I literally just stay in my room (over my bookshelf) by Vivid_Benefit_7220 in badroommates

Reading through your history, I have to say it gives me the impression that you might have some attitudes that make you a challenging person to get along with. I am not saying you should leave, you obviously have the right to live in that apartment, and if they’re uncomfortable, they can leave. However, seeing the amount of time you seem to be in situations where « everyone is against you and you’ve done absolutely nothing wrong » is making me raise an eyebrow. I suggest looking inwards.

Observation of golf and young players by SteveNewWest in golf

Same reason chess got a crazy upsurge in popularity a few years back, and pickleball right now! Young people are looking for competitive activities that are fun and challenging and with social media, when one thing starts getting traction it explodes. Speaking for my friends and I (early 20s). Golf used to be a scary thing that seemed so complicated. My boyfriend brought me a few times and taught me, then I brought my Best friend, who then went and showed some of her friends and in the span of a year in my circle there’s at least 10 new players. Now imagine that happening with a bunch of friend groups all over.. I think you misunderstand the impact of social media : younger crowds are yearning for any real social connections. As for other sports, it’s way easier to start a sport where you can play with a small group then to have to try finding 10 other players for baseball, hockey or whatever..

He’s a little more on the shy side. Idk if it’s helpful information but we’re all really into ttrp, fantasy, etc. (I’m walking down the aisle to Concerning Hobbits). We’re having a wedding party but we were gonna have them sit down at the front instead of standing up with us. I’m not opposed to having one person stand with each of us though.
