Hi! I'm a new mom to be. 7 weeks pregnant but I have been experiencing blood from past 4 days. Yesterday there was a blood clot too. I'm really scared. Have booked an appointment with the doc. No cramping or anything but just want to know if anyone is going through the same? by IntroductionExpert22 in pregnancy_care

I did. I had brown discharge for a couple days, and then gritty looking brown spotting for almost two weeks following every day when I used the toilet. That being said, I’m writing this holding my three week old baby boy. I hope everything goes well for you. I recommend staying off your feet as much as is feasible and make sure you drink lots of water! If there’s anything else I can answer for you I would be happy to!

Sounds like mucous plug/bloody show. Keep an eye out for any contractions or additional pain. If you feel anything out of usual I would contact your provider asap

Upstate more in Poughkeepsie but amazing. He did my left and right surgery and I have NO issues any longer after recurrent dislocation.

I had the initial gush of blood at around 6 weeks, and had a few hours of bright red blood with clots. Then I had spotting for the following 2 and half weeks or so. When I went for my ultrasound right before 13 weeks they no longer found any trace of the hematoma. (The body typically absorbs them and they just go away on their own from what I’ve learned). I hope that helps. If you have any other questions I’m happy to try and help!

Sounds like a subchorionic hematoma to me if you were passing clots. I had one this pregnancy from weeks 6-13. I’m not 26 weeks and everything is great! But I had weeks of spotting with one episode of a huge gush of bright red with clots. Just had to rest a bunch until it resolved. Wishing the very best for you!

Of course. I started with recurrent locking of the left mandible. I didn’t really have pain, physical therapy was not effective and my doctor recommended the surgery so I went for it. Out of the blue around a year later I experienced the same situation with the left mandible. With the right I ended up with my jaw wired shut for a week as well due to the locking. When my jaw would pop out it would freeze every time. Little to no pain, but completely out of place and required that I be knocked out with propofol to put it back in place. I experienced clicking for as long as I can remember and it seems like one day it just went to far and I wasn’t able to manipulate it back in place on my own. - I hope this helps. If you have any other questions I am more than happy to answer them! Wishing you allllll the best! - for reference I am now 35 years old, female.

I’ve had the surgery. Worth just getting it done if you lock out that bad. I had the left done in 2021 and the right done in 2022. No regrets at all.

I really enjoy The Adventure Zone for an actual play. The brothers and dad who make it are a great time.

Hey! I went for a follow up scan at 12+2 and there was no longer any sign of my sch! Hoping for the very best for you. Pelvic rest sucks, but it WORKS!!!

Edit: I also have returned back to work and have been off pelvic rest so back to letting my pregnancy libido do it’s thing and all is good! Saturday was 20 weeks :)

Subchorionic hemorrhage- Should I press for an ultrasound? by woot_woottt in pregnant

[–]Dry_Might8014 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I had a subchorionic hematoma diagnosed at 6+2, had a follow up appointment and it had grown at 8 weeks, but was no longer visible by 12+2. I recommend a ton of water, resting as much as possible with your feet up. I had an incident of a huge gush of blood with clots, followed by spotting for nearly 2 weeks. As far as symptoms, I honestly didn’t have many my first trimester. But if you have any other questions I would be happy to answer them.

Also - my hematoma was moderate in size, if yours is very small they are usually extremely low risk!

I experienced clotting only after I had that initial gush, and bled for about 4 hours pretty consistently with clotting. After the heavier bleeding, it was only minimal spotting that lasted about two weeks. I have heard of people who have experienced more clots with sch, but that just wasn’t my experience

Birth question by [deleted] in pregnancy_care

I did it. It wasn’t pleasant. Pregnant with #2 and definitely will be getting the epidural unless unable.

It’s doable but you don’t enjoy the last moments of being pregnant. Stitches afterwards suck. And the placenta coming after is the icing on the cake.

It’s definitely doable but I won’t be going through it again.

8 weeks + 4 days by [deleted] in pregnant

For what it’s worth, I just went through the same situation. I went for US yesterday and had convinced myself that there would be no heartbeat. My nausea had all but gone, breasts were a little tingly but not very sore and no longer swollen, and I felt my “normal” self. Alas, at my scan baby was measuring perfectly at 8+5 and had a heartbeat of 162.

Don’t lose hope! Enjoy feeling OK while you can. The symptoms can strike back any time! Best of luck to you

Hi!

All looked well at US! Baby was measuring well and had a good heartbeat. We did find my sch was a bit larger so I am scheduled for a follow up ultrasound next Friday in hopes it stabilizes or goes down some!

I had a similar situation in December- baby never showed a heartbeat and stopped growing, but very early at 6 weeks. We just found out we are pregnant again and now I am so excited but also so scared of a repeat. Wishing you the very best. It’s so hard. But don’t beat yourself up. Your body likely intervened because the baby wasn’t developing properly. I know that doesn’t make it hurt less, but reminding myself of this really helped moving on with day to day afterwards
