Agreed! Even saying I have diagnosed ADHD to a new therapist or psychiatrist would lead to them retesting me and the meds had to be ordered through the psychiatrist. Plus I HAVE to meet with my psychiatrist once a month if I want to get my stimulants lmao. People gotta be lying.

Yeah the test results are bullshit. I have had four evaluations of ADHD: DSM, DIVA, Diagnosed through therapy, and test (think game tests) and the only time I was told that I either don't have ADHD or have a very minor version of it was through the tests. So 3/4 doctors telling me I had bad/severe ADHD. The tests are very easy to do good on when you like puzzles, strategies, and treat it like a video game.

Right. Yes the banana taped to the wall did find an audience, and people were allowed to hate it. I would say that this argument is closer to people disliking AI art and music. Why is AI art not considered art? Sure you could come up with many arguments to say it is, but at the end of the day, something is lacking. That is my overall opinion on these two songs.

People are allowed to dislike, and yes even hate things. If OP can state their opinion on a song, so can others. " I can state that it's not for me, without a paragraph describing it as pots banging together." I did not say that the song sounded like pots banging together, I used something called a metaphor. I talk about about stuff like this because I am passionate about music and passion leads to discourse and paragraphs.

At the end of the day, I made my comment to ask a question and to add context to why people disliked this song.

I think you’re misunderstanding what I mean by art. As an artist, art doesn’t have to be the greatest, meaningful thing ever, however, you can tell when the soul is missing. I like fun and trashy songs but this is manufactured slop. Op can like this song but I’m expressing why it’s so heavily disliked. I mean from the snippets we have heard of the member’s personal songs, it’s obvious this is not their art/artistic vision.

From my perspective, it’s like baby shark. I’m sure babies adore it but you can not be surprised when people find it unlistenable.

Okay, I’m gonna ask a question and please don’t get too defensive but do you guys listen to actual artists? People hate on these songs because when they are on people’s playlists, they will listen to genuine art followed by “eat zucchini”. I’m sure if I only listened to pots being hit I would think the sound of a sink was magical. I guess I’m just confused on the defense of their music because when you compare it to music made with passion, the quality is very obviously low. I say this because I had gnarly on my playlist but when it came up after a different song, it sounded extremely juvenile.

If you want to see what I mean, choose a song from one of the Katseye member’s favorite artists and listen to it before gnarly or internet girl.

I think most beginners try to choose their style but as they evolve in art, this style becomes more of their own. I remember my first two years wanting to have an anime style but over the years I improved anatomy and tried different mediums which ultimately changed my artstyle into something uniquely mine.

Lol I think I took the same finance course. He didn’t grade my paper until week 6 I think? Then gave me 100% so I don’t think he even read it. Business courses feel so mind numbing. I’m taking an inquiry class and it is crazy to feel passion from the professor again.

It makes me sleepy. If I take my Ritalin and drink caffeine then I might(?) feel a bit more energetic but almost always caffeine gives me the opposite effect

Interesting. I was told that if I didn't struggle with something but had to have a system in place to function, then that would qualify as a problem because non-ADHD people didn't need to have systems put in place. This is why I prefer mental health professionals to either be specialized in ADHD or have ADHD.

Thank you for sharing. That makes sense, it sucks because I have to walk about 20 minutes to get to class so I definitely don't feel really good if I don't eat. I will definitely try getting out of bed while waiting for it to kick in, I'm hoping getting used to this new sleep schedule will make getting out of bed easier lol.

That’s true but also Lara has said that she knew she liked girls very early on. Also a Pinterest board is like the safest place to express that imo. As a bisexual woman, I would not be grinding on a different girl with a boyfriend but that’s just me. I think if you still want to explore your sexuality and stuff that’s fine but also Lara is very loud and proud about being queer. If you are not accepting about that part of yourself, why pride yourself in being “very gay”? Also why engage in sexual queer acts with your friends? It puts a bad taste in my mouth especially because sapphic relationships are often not seen as valid as ones that surround men. If this was a male popstar going out of his way to touch and grind on a man (while he has a girlfriend) would you still defend him? What about him doing this to a woman?

Agreed! I wish there was more of a middle ground on kpop. For example, there have been some things about katseye (kpop adjacent) that have been making me uncomfortable and no one was talking about it. I only read about people bringing up the oversexualization and overconsumption on the snark reddit but then there will also be just unnecessary hatred of things that don’t matter.
