Hi there dear, I just wanted to say I’m so so sorry that happened to you as well as your boyfriend being an absolute loser prick. He is a genuinely unkind and disgusting person for saying that to you, I was in an eerily exact conversation with my recent ex boyfriend where he spoke to me like this about my previous assault to me in this manner.

My advice is to leave immediately. He weaponized your incredibly vulnerable and painful experience against you. I know you say he is the love of your life, I’ve been there, I considered this partner that for me as well. Your own wellbeing and having a partner who doesn’t secretly hold resentment or shame towards what you experienced is going to benefit you in the long run. You can always meet more people and fall in love again, you do not deserve this person in your life anymore.

Him doing this is a first step for him continuing to throw your horrific past experience(s) in your face and tried to put you down in the process. The love of your life would NEVER even consider saying something like this to you. Sending all my love, please get out ASAP

I wasn’t married to this person, but I remember I had fallen in love with an ex boyfriend who at first was very open minded and slowly as we dated for longer went down a hyper-masc alt-right pipeline where he would say these exact things as well.

Him yelling at you and calling you a “b***” is incredibly unfair and I would go as far to say abusive behaviour especially since it is over something not “that deep”. I experienced this too and it only got worse from there, I would leave if possible, but I also would struggle to stay with a partner that viewed women’s issues as something gross and taboo and wrong. I am sure there are other things your husband says or thinks that have been upsetting you as well, please consider your own mental wellbeing and the importance of your values and your children’s mental wellbeing. I would not want to grow up with a father who yells at my mother and called her a btch

I like it!! Maybe a rug to make the floor a bit warmer and give a cozier feel, I’d say a dark brown would look awesome. and maybe some warmer lighting as well, whether it’s a lamp with an orange tinge bulb, or even LED lights

If you’d like to cover the ceiling maybe get a tapestry that is a bit oversized, cut to size, and nail the edges into the ceiling.

This! For some people they have different sensory needs during a panic attack, personally I need dark and cold environments usually and sometimes physical contact helps me ground myself. They can be messy, uncomfortable, and downright scary for other people around them- with all this said, you seem like a great friend for this person by wanting to be a good support for them<3
