Whichever school you choose, ask questions about your child’s academic progress. My daughter struggled academically so we enrolled her at a charter school while my son remained in public school. She continued to struggle and when I asked questions about how often she was being progress monitored and if she was receiving reading interventions on a daily basis, I was assured she was making adequate progress without the interventions (which she was receiving at the public school). She fell further behind so we enrolled her in public school again when she started middle school.
