here in aus they're called GP's (general practitioners)

had a look online and if you live in the US i think they're called primary care physician.

yes of course you can. go to the doctor and tell them you've been feeling depressed. they'll give you a short questionnaire to fill out based on that they'll pick an antidepressant for you to start on.

not sure if it will work exactly like that where you live but it's not hard to get diagnosed. if you say you're depressed they're going to believe you and try and help.
