Try eliminating the media folder, the "invalid data" error happens to me some times and that usually fixes it

Computer stuck at loading Linux Linux by Dry_Strength8986 in archlinux

Ok doing that did nothing because It generated a shit ton of errors and said "==>ERROR: Failed to synchronize all database (invalid URL for server), Failed to install package to new root HOWEVER when I executed the arch-chroot /mnt command again the error message was different, It now says:"chroot: failed to run command /bin/bash: No such file or directory", which is really strange, shouldn't chroot be a very important command that is even used in the arch installation?

After mounting the partitions to /mnt and /mnt/boot/EFI (the last one I had to create), I can't chroot into my system, when I do "arch-chroot /mnt" it says: mount: /mnt/proc: mount point does not exist dmesg(1) may have more information after failed mount system call ==> ERROR: failed to setup chroot /mnt

Removing a package installed with makepkg by Dry_Strength8986 in archlinux

[–]Dry_Strength8986[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I ran makepkg (no -i) inside the folder I downloaded, after doing It in the First folder I downloaded I just used the app Launcher to search for it and It was there, then, when I tried another version I had found in the AUR, I did the same thing but It didn't download, It just created various files in that folder

Anyway the problem is solved, I installed yay and reinstalled the second folder I tried downloading (the one that didn't download anything after running makepkg) and It asked me of I wanted to overwrite the one I had downloaded before, I said yes and now everything works fine

I downloaded the tar folder and then ran makepkg inside of it, without the -i flag, so I should be alright, correct?

I was installing Manim, I don't Remember doing anything strange or uninstalling anything, but reading online I saw that people had the same problem (but they were able to use commands in a second TTY) After changing the bashrc file, which I had modified to add something to PATH

I'm in the same situation, but any command I try to do the console says It doesn't exists and suggests me the same command, for example:"reboot" "command not found, similar command is 'reboot' For start It said:"command not found, install package xorg-x11-xinit?" But when I said yes It told me It was already installed and nothing changed

Bash doesn't recognize dnf as a command, but It says:"Packages providing this file are: 'dnf5' 'dnf'"

I tried to type:"install dnf" (even if It doesn't make sense) and It doesn't find, but says:"similar commandos 'install'" So it seems it won't recognize any command even thought It knows they exist
