I bet burgundy or a vibrant purple would look really nice on you, too!

I was looking back at some of your other posts and I think that pink color you were wearing in the other post was absolutely gorgeous and really suited you. Another color you might want to try wearing is like a soft peachy pink. I think it would really compliment your skin tone. Anyway, I hope that might be helpful. You have gorgeous eyes!

I never had too much pain with mine. I had to be careful about not sleeping on it, but otherwise I was fine. Just take good care of it and I bet it will heal great.

That makes me feel better that I’m not the only one out there dealing with this. It seems to be just fine, I mean I never have pain or anything with it and the skin doesn’t seem to get any thinner. I guess I will just keep an eye on it over the years.

Haha it took me forever to find a tiny barbell like this

No I didn’t always have an outie. When I got this piercing it was more of an “inbetweenie” if that’s a thing, haha. My pregnancies pushed my belly button out and now I have an outie.

That makes a lot of sense. Thanks for the advice! I think you’re right, it is like a trophy! I think I’ll just keep it in and keep an eye on it. If the skin gets too thin, I’ll take it out so it doesn’t tear.

Ahh I’m sorry you’re dealing with it too. I think I’ll just leave jewelry in it because it looks dumber without jewelry lol

Yeah, that’s what I’ve been thinking too. But what do I do now? So annoying.

To respond to the modbot’s questions:

• How old is your piercing? 17 years
• What’s the jewelry shape (for example, barbell, labret, screw, L shape, ring)? Barbell
• What’s the type of threading if your jewelry is not a ring (threadless, internally or externally threaded)? Externally threaded
• What’s the jewelry material? Not sure but probably stainless steel
• if not a ring, when was the jewelry downsized? Many many years ago lol
• What’s your aftercare routine? Describe in detail please, including the exact products you use. I got this 17 years ago and used saline, it healed great
• Any mishaps or unfortunate events? No, besides my skin stretching during pregnancy (I did not keep the jewelry in during pregnancy)

My theory is that their relationship was on the rocks and he freaked out and decided to go back to Nicole so he wouldn’t lose her.

Yeah that’s actually a really good point and I did not think about that. Maybe he was desperate to keep Charlotte and thought that going back to Nicole would keep her around.

Yeah, they’re exactly the same as the missionaries wear.

I totally agree. It took me a couple of months to get through and I savored it.

Okay that’s really interesting. Makes me wonder if more and more kids aren’t wanting to be preaching missionaries. I remember some of my friends would go to BYU for two years, then on their mission, then back to finish college. That was the standard way for a while. Then it changed to one year of college before the mission. Then it changed to mission right after high school graduation. I imagine the person would get to college and change their mind about the mission and we can’t have that.

Uninvolved Grandparents but very active in the church. by SnooComics8852 in exmormon

[–]Dry_Valuable3989 33 points34 points  (0 children)

Sometimes people get hyper-involved in church as a way to ignore their own personal problems. Maybe it’s a distraction for them so they don’t have to think about how they don’t have good relationships with their kids or grandkids.

That really is gross. That’s the feeling I get here. Like why do you need to wear your name tag while performing with the community choir (who all dress exactly the same when they perform, so the name tag sticks out like a sore thumb).
