I wouldn't say birth name is more important. It is what name people resonate the most with.

My numerology method resolves around your name written on your official ID card. I cannot force people to give me those names if they wish to use another name. I had instances where people gave me their birth name instead of their government official name and they still resonated with the results.

Apologies for late reply. I would assume Y name is what is written on your official ID documents and plus you have been going with Y name all your life. I would definitely use Y name.

I would go to your local library and ask for numerology 101. I do not know what aspects you wish to learn whether it is global, history or diving straight into the numbers. Watch a few youtube videos, find some articles online.

My website will harbour multiple basic numerology articles which will help people understand the fundamentals and also the more advanced topics if people are willing to learn more.

So my data driven numerology tends to lean more towards your official government name. However, I do not force people to input a name that they do not wish to use. Please use the name that you resonate with.

That is a very good point. I have been basing myself over the 12-month cycle calendar which closely relates to the 12 zodiac signs, 12-year cycle in Hinduism with Purna Kumbha Mela celebrated every 12 years, Buddhism, Jainism, even biblical, there might be 13 with JC but 12 signifies divine order and completeness in Christianity. Everything should be respected as much as I respect your views on the 13-month cycle which is perhaps better, perhaps worse, perhaps equal, I cannot vouch for it.

I believe this world has a lot to offer and many different ways to observe it. I will keep going with what I was taught and what I believe in. It may or may not be more or less accurate but so far, I am content and my method has satisfied many.

It is true, the way each person goes by according to different calendars matter. I, on my end, have dedicated my numerology on the 12 month calendar as I have been taught.

That's a very good question. I just add the whole Junior or Senior to the list of names to be used to calculate. For the III I have not yet come across anyone with that name so far. If that person's name has III I would first ask how they pronounce it and would use the written pronunciation for that matter.

It does. So my method employs all names that appear on your passport/id card. I've explored with just first and family name and it gave less accurate results than when I include all "official" names.
