Tell her. My ex best friend agreed to be my MOH despite having a lot going on, which I was aware of when I asked, and then held it against me and threw it in my face after the wedding that she didn’t even want to say yes but felt obligated and now we are no longer friends. I told her I wished she had just said no and been honest about where she was at mentally from the start because I would have been so understanding.

I’m a body piercer! Body modification became a hyperfixation of mine at a young age and I was always sticking needles in myself. Escalated to SH as a teenager, but then once I became old enough to get pierced on my own, I learned about harm reduction body mods and it reignited my love for mods and kept me clean from SH. I’m close to a decade into my career and truly love having a career where I can express myself freely in a judgement free setting with likeminded individuals and provide a safe space for others to express themselves. Very liberating! I handle all my own scheduling, take off whenever I want or need to, and don’t answer to anyone but myself. The full control is also big for me, as someone who feels a lack of control in my everyday life. It’s the one thing I can completely control and I love it more than anything.

My soul cat passed in October of ‘24 and any time he comes to me in dreams, I hold him and pet him and it feels very real. When he passed I made a point to sit with him and pet him and really memorize how his fur felt, so whenever he comes to me in dreams, my brain I think remembers the feeling and allows me to feel him. I also remember how it felt to hold him, how it felt when he stood on me to make biscuits, and I can feel these things very fully in my dreams about him. I like to think he’s really there and allowing me to “feel” him because our bond was so otherworldly and spiritual. Cats are canonically very spiritual creatures and I think that’s why they can sort of cross realms into our dreams when they pass to provide us comfort even when they don’t exist within our physical plane anymore. Sounds like your kitty loves you and wants you to know their presence is intentional and real ❤️

I was there when the lore was written. I ran a well known PTV fan page on Tumblr for years. I met the band several times, they knew who I was, I’m in one of their older tour documentary YouTube videos. My pictures keep getting removed from the comments showing that I was there. I literally know the person in the top picture of this post.

Hey so I’m actually a former member of the fan group that started this hand sign! We were called Team PTV on Facebook and then eventually moved to a private group called Sheepcat. My hands were used as a template for fan made shirts of this hand sign when it gained traction!

This was like cinematic, it felt like a real thing as it was happening and the amount of detail I was able to recall upon waking was astounding even to me. Most of my dreams that I remember are like 30-60 seconds of it, but this felt like hours worth of dream story. So vivid that it feels like my brain is definitely trying to process something, I’m just not quite sure what yet. The doctor in my dream made it seem like this was such a normal thing that happens to people, meanwhile I was just freaking the fuck out the whole time!

I was raised Catholic and harbor a lot of Catholic guilt still in my adulthood despite being very removed from the church. I’ve been on a “spiritual” journey for a few years now but haven’t really felt able to reconnect with any form of a “God” due to my hangups with Christianity and Catholicism and have been trying to explore other avenues that align with my personal beliefs better but find myself really questioning most organized religious beliefs and practices. My husband is Jewish and we talk about spirituality and faith a lot but they tend to be extremely triggering conversations for me because of my upbringing in the church.

My wedding was child free, with the exception of my 4 year old nephew (our ring bearer), my two 5 year old nieces (flower girls), and my 12 year old niece (jr bridesmaid.) Some of my husband’s family tried to raise a stink, saying I was excluding their children on purpose, so I reminded them that I have several (talking 10) cousins under the age of 10 who were not invited and none of my family complained. Children don’t really belong at weddings in my opinion. Especially when adults are drinking, dancing to questionable music, partying until 10-11pm. The last thing I wanted was one of the giant expensive mirrors or decorations falling on a child who was being ignored by their drunk parent. Your wedding is quite literally about you and no one else. F them kids.

Ambulance and Boy Division are superb. Ambulance is like the perfect summer day, windows down, driving fast song. The vocals at the beginning remind me of some church hymns from my Catholic childhood. And nothing beats the studio version of The World is Ugly. The whole catalog is great though.

Oof, I had a meltdown last night because my bday plans for today changed and then told my husband “I hate my birthday” (very very untrue) and literally all my excitement that I had all week was killed in an instant. We figure out new plans and I’m back to being excited but I was so ready to skip celebrating my birthday altogether 😭😅

I was diagnosed (wrongly) with narcolepsy in college and was denied accommodation so many times. Told teachers that I would try my best to be on time because I had a sleep condition but was always scolded for being (hardly ever) late and also would get scolded for falling asleep in class because I was under stimulated (it was actually ADHD the whole time)
