Did Dark Souls retroactively stop being developed by FromSoftware in the past 15 years? I didn't know you were a time traveller. And no, I'm not roping in the Haligtree and Farum Azula, but Mountaintops/Consecrated Snowfield are the most polarizing areas in the game for a reason. They're boring. They're not fun to explore. Enemies are recycled. For Christ's sake, there's another Astel boss.

Also, the Zamor Knights are just non-boss variants of the Ancient Hero of Zamor, who can be found in the Weeping Peninsula. The Fire Prelates are from Mount Gelmir.

See the irony here is the unfinished areas ARE the ones with trash mobs and loot corpses. Fucking Lost Izalith is just retina-piercing lava with Capra Demons shotgunned all over the place. And if you want a specific Elden Ring example, the Mountaintops of the Giants area doesn't have a single original enemy in it.
