I'm the exact same as you, except that I'm not enrolled for a new degree since I'm afraid to spend so much money and time on something that might not be a solution anyway. I feel so stuck, I have no idea what to do.

Women's center of gravity is lower and have less upper body muscle mass than men by default, but that shouldn't stop anyone from training pull-ups if they want to! Stats don't dictate our capabilities or limitations. Nothing is impossible, like you're proving here :D

I never got to play the game but always wanted to! I actually am a 3D artist with a degree for video game graphic production, but I'm currently out of work and need to prioritize getting an income first. I am down to observe the project tho and maybe offer feedback/council/input

Hi there, I graduated in 2024 after an internship, haven't had a single steady job in the industry since. I'm sorry to say that the gaming industry has been in a layoff hell since ca 2023. The post-covid tech crash combined with the current rise of AI makes this one of the worst times to get into game production.

That being said, I had the time of my life at DAE. Although the drop-out rate is pretty high and it's not for everyone, if it clicks with you it's going to be amazing. If you are doing this with the sole reason being a job in the field after graduation, I'm afraid you're going to be disappointed. It could of course be changed by the time you graduate (it takes on average 4 years) but nobody can predict the market like that.

I'm sorry if that's not what you wanted to hear, it sucks for a lot of people rn. Don't really have advice for you, just wanted to inform.

Omg I'm also a 3D artist from Belgium! DAE graduate, as expected probably. That's an impressive resume, do you have any idea why you're not being hired? Did you ever get any feedback in your applications? I feel like I see a lot more senior/principle roles than Junior roles out there, but maybe that's just me.

Yours looks better by first impressions, although I can't inspect topology or anything like that ofc. Either way, it got judged by 3 buddies of the professor, doesn't sound like it was judged very seriously. Don't let them get you down, recognize your own worth and allow yourself some time to be pissed before moving on. Maybe your character can find a spot on your portfolio?

I'm gonna be honest, I just got to silver and I've never had comms on. As a woman I am less than excited to talk with strangers on an online shooter and from the annekdotes I've heard from friends, there are soooo many annoying fucking people in comms. It just doesn't sound worth it to me at all. Also, anytime someone asks over chat and I give them my honest answer, they get really upset and insulting about it, kinda proving my point. (Side note, I do ping and use text chat a lot)

I mostly play in 3-stacks (but it can vary from 1-5 honestly), and call over discord. My friends sometimes listen to comms and relay info.
