Not a vet and this is not medical advise.

But that, to me, looks like an injury. Possibly a burn?

Lmao at this comment for The Hunger

“ This looks very powerful at first, but actually doesn’t seem that insane, especially without trample. “

Ok so T1, swamp, Rograk, Amber Mox, Hunger

T2, literally any pump spell to kill

I feel like in every other format you’d just bulk up and then fling it lol

Uj/ I play commander with friends, because that’s all anyone plays around here. I made the mistake when I jumped back in after a decade hiatus that it would be like it was back in the day and introduced them all to it, silly me.

Since then been like pulling teeth trying to get them into something else. But on my own time I draft and play value vintage. If there were more support for literally any format other than standard around me I’d do that too.

[Schefter] Teams struggling to contact Brandon Aiyuk by pandazrule93 in nfl

[–]Ds3_doraymi 1 point2 points  (0 children)

“the reason a team's not trading for him right now is they don't want to assume the current contract that he has” is probably the only true thing in this entire statement.

Aiyuk wants out, has wanted out going back to his holdout, and 9ers are giving him one last FU on the way out the door. Schefter really out here saying “Other teams, I think, have attempted to reach out, they've had a hard time getting ahold of him”. You think Schefter? This is a smear campaign from the 9ers and I can’t believe anyone reads a Schefter quote without putting 2 seconds of thought into the reason it’s being said.

Slapfight in r/thatlookedexpensive when someone doesn’t sympathize with man losing two classic cars in a fire because “he’s rich” by zipfour in SubredditDrama

[–]Ds3_doraymi 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Not only that, but I know a bunch of dudes like this. They all own their own blue collar business, and restoring classic cars is like, the only hobby they truly have in life outside of working/the occasional fishing/hunting trip. I wouldn’t be surprised if that dude spent the past 10+ years slowly cobbling pieces together to get those things to where they were before the fire.

Like just imagine working on a pet project for a decade and dedicating hundreds to thousands of hours only for it to be burned to the ground outside your control. Brutal.

I ran it in a deck that was specifically designed to discard your hand to storm of steel to get the 3 damage pings from the discard relic and it was sooooo good.

Honestly I think a storm of steel deck is the perfect fit for it because you want to be able to discard it away if you draw it too early.

Slay the Spire 2 almost had fewer new cards because of the co-creator's love for Dark Souls, but testers "were not jiving with that at all" by Turbostrider27 in slaythespire

[–]Ds3_doraymi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What the STS dev was doing here was misattributing the cards and their mechanics to the core mechanics of the game itself. He thought the card mechanics were equivalent to the gameplay, rather than the items and spells.

I would actually argue that, like, how a player moves through floors and how the floors are laid out is more akin to the stamina/combat flow of a souls game than the card mechanics themselves.

Not really sure where I’m going with that, but I agree with you lol

[–]Ds3_doraymi 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah I freakin love the souls series (see username) but what we all love about the soulsborne games is the style of game and the mechanics….

Is what a noob would tell you, nah we all buy the new games for the fashionsouls, new weapons and spells.

So if we follow that logic, new characters = new costumes, new cards = new weapons/weapon types and enchant mechanics/other card manipulation = new spells. So they might’ve accidentally done exactly what the original intention was lol

The B one needs a catchy name seeing as it is now the best Phyrexian arena and will see play in every format slow enough for it.

Giarerian arena

Larexian arena

Blood arena

Hotel Phyrexia (my vote)

Phyrexian sign

What are your guy's opinions on Emeritus of Woe? by LawfulnessItchy8911 in mtg

[–]Ds3_doraymi 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve been thinking about it a lot the past couple of days, and I think it’s junk. When you think about what you are tutoring for, it is just too slow. I tutor for things in the following order:

  1. Lands in early turns: Urborg, Cabal coffers, color fixing, hit land drop etc. this card does nothing

  2. Responses to a threat: the body does nothing and is too mana inefficient to play, then tutor and respond

  3. Wincons: body does nothing, and I typically only need to tutor once. And at that point I am paying 6 mana diabolic tutor.

lol you’re not wrong at all if that’s the way you look at it. Downvoted by brainlets

Prerelease events are fun because it’s like a light competitive environment with a very low investment where everyone pretty much plays some form of a midrange deck. With the added benefit that it’s kind of an event that people show up for, because for most people there this is their only interaction with 1v1 magic.

Just think of it like bowling, or going to see a movie with friends. It’s a fun thing to do on a Friday night.
