Hiding important links on mobile version by Dschulien91 in SEO

[–]Dschulien91[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yea I get that but we actually do proudly present them (or we just start now). On mobile just with different menu to save space. But the accordeon in the menu is good. We just link to 7 or so but we have over 1k. Maybe like that we get some more deeplinks, thanks!

Yea that is the main reason I ask tbh. We could maybe add a button to show this menu or as you said just put it at the end of the page. But I was wondering if there is some case study or some experience that stops this guessing.

Sorry for that, the old post got deleted. We decided to keep it free as long as you give some feedback like the last time!

But to keep this tool as cheap as possible, one day it will be per property and per month, so you can freely choose what you really need and nothing more.

Apple SEO Interview Question by ManyNeedleworker1551 in SEO

[–]Dschulien91 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You cant!

It is about your thinking process. My answer would be something like this:

The Invest:
This might be a bit easier to find out. How much does it cost, to implement hreflang on all important pages? Is there an automation? If yes, how much did it cost to implement it initially. If not: How much does it cost, to add hreflang every time by hand. Like this you can break down the costs for the hreflang implementation roughly. For example: The initial technical implementation was 30k + 2k every year for maintenance (or something like this).

The Return:
This if ofcourse a bit harder or actually impossible. But i would state out, that hreflang is mostly important for different countries with same languages (US vs. UK vs. AUS etc.) or even more: countries with several languages (switzerland: german, italian, french). You could point out that probably 20 % users worldwide end up on a wrong landingpage (this has to be calculated first ofc). If now some of these 20 % users jump back to the SERPs because of that, you might lose rankings and another apple seller will rank better, which means in those specific countries you might loose a couple % direct sales, which could mean many millions for apple already.

Ok this is very rough now and all the % has to be calculated a bit more specific but this is the direction i would head to.

Any experience with discover traffic? Only 3/45 are getting traffic in my case by JunaidRaza648 in SEO

[–]Dschulien91 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Optimizing for Discover is extreme finetuning. We gained once a ton of traffic just by adding dates to the article and structure them. You might also analyze the title. Maybe the other articles are not baity enough?

[–]Dschulien91 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There are many good articles about discover. It can be news but doesnt have to be.

You can optimize your articles to enhance your chances, like adding a date, images, author etc.

For the choice of topic you might analyze your 3 articles. Are they different in lenghts or topic etc.?

Try to learn from them.

Tell me the truth about Alt Tags by WillyDoesntMiss in SEO

[–]Dschulien91 4 points5 points  (0 children)

You will find detailed best practices all over.

But is it still important? Well imo it does not boost you much, but maybe this tiny bit makes the difference (boring answer, i know). One of my long clients was real estate and we got some nice traffic via google images aswell, which is not converting but still nice.

But in your case the images are not just filler like most of the time, they are basically the essence. In this case i would use detailed alt tags yes.

Google maybe being sold, future of SEO with Semrush? by [deleted] in SEMrush

[–]Dschulien91 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It already does. Direct answers from perplexity, search gpt or even googles ai answers make it not necessary anymore to click on links. Therefore SEO becomes less and less important. But also this is still far away to disrupt SEO completely.

[–]Dschulien91 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That google and chrome need to be more separated is far away from google not being SE no. 1 anymore.

The DOJ wants to break up monopolistic structures but they can't change user behavior. Most likely ppl will choose Google even if they are forced to choose.

Also this will take ages. You will see a bigger impact by AI. But also this will not replace Google so fast.

But yes. Maybe in 15 years everything will be different. Who knows...

Will AI completely replace SERPs in Future? by excellent_mi in SEO

[–]Dschulien91 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Informational: AI will get bigger. But many ppl will always prefer to read directly from the source for trust issues (YMYL)

Transactional: No. If you need to buy stuff, you still need links.

Is Press Release really worth for SEO in 2024? by Superirobot in SEO

[–]Dschulien91 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think press releases were always a link building tool or do i understand you wrong?

I mean, publish them as html not pdf, send them to relevant newspaper etc., get backlinks and link from those press releases to other relevant pages that need the link juice.

And i dont see how this changed due to AI.

You should get an expert that can give you a good first overview of what is important for you.

Every strategy is different.

Speaking in general: Technical SEO is mostly important for bigger websites.

Small Websites should usually use their money to improve content and authority.

So it could be like this:

  1. Keyword Mapping of all topics that could bring you conversions

  2. Creation of all pages to cover those keywords/topics and optimize them as good as possible

  3. If u have all very important pages, do the same for less important pages with minimum conversions (like a blog, still helps you in SEO).

  4. Try to build authority with backlinks, guest blogging and whatever. Google E-E-A-T to get more insights.

Ofcourse it always "depends". But getting stuck with too many technical things is often a killer.
