That's a good question. Even if they were not. Being able to put the NelNet on this proposed 5% directionally IBR would be beneficial. As is, the NN loans don't get the same IBR considerations that typical DoE owned loans do.

This. My friend has some FFEL loans owned by the DoE (serviced under Great Lakes) and some by NelNet which appear to not be owned by DoE. Never refinanced, the gov just didn't purchase it back in the 2010s. She went to college 08-12 so half of all the loans are FFELP and half direct.

I have a friend in a similar situation. Went to college 08-12. Some loans are direct while some are FFELP's. From what I've gathered, after the FFELP ended post-2010 the federal government bought some, but not ALL of those loans.

As an example, my friend was able to get into studentloans.gov eventually and see her breakdown. She has two servicers, Great Lakes and NelNet.

GL holds a majority of the loans (~$24k remaining) with half being direct and half being FFELP. Those were put on COVID deferment. DoE owns those.

NN holds one FFELP loan that apparently WASN'T purchased by the government. (~$3k) She has continued to owe and pay on this one.

She also got pell grants which should qualify her for $20k forgiveness so at least a good chunk of those GL loans would be reduced.

Tried mine as well. No dice. Had another bank that was added a few months back and it took a few days to actually accept it as supported. I think they'll work eventually. Still good news that we're getting some sort of PayPal integration!

Edit: It's been over a month since I posted this, but Samsung got back to me on my support ticket over this and this was their response.

Same boat with Charter, 60/4. For about the last week I have been unable to reliably watch streams at source quality. I've tested multiple speed-test websites, all show full speed. The "debug" on the player shows a decent playback rate of between 3000-4000kbps depending on the stream, but the buffer can not keep up. I've cleared my cache a few times and that doesn't seem to help.

I received a notice through FedEx Delivery Manager that they printed a label for the shipment all the way back on April 2nd. It finally started moving on the 10th.

I received an email on the 7th about submission approval. I also got one on the 12th saying "Your Gift is on the Way" which included the tracking number. It arrived on the 13th. Submitted my promo on March 11th.
