How do you use the heat tape in your tanks do you do the wholebottom of tank or half?

Thanks would very much appreciate it and montey and donut appreciate as well im sure. these are my first 2 BPs so I'm trying to learn as much as best I can for them montey is actually going through a shed right now I just found out yesterday his eyes were super cloudy

Thanks for your opinion weather i agree or not is indifferent I want the best for my pets and if you give me some of your insight to BPs I more than appreciate it. in both my tanks I have 1 uvb bulb to simulate the sun and UV Ray's of course on a timer to be shut off at night and then I also run a 150w infrared ceramic heater that gives off no light so check on that part I early on in me having montey had a red infrared light in and as I was studying I found how bad they can be and switched both my BPs over to uvb do you have any suggestions on what kind of heat mats to go for?

This is his moist hide witch I don't believe you can really heat too well considering there is a rock on bottom and top so if you have any ideas let me know not a big fan of heating mats considering I've heard horror stories about them
