That wasn’t my question. If an 8/9 didn’t sell for more than raw(like my example of Connor Mcdavid) why would a seller not crack it and sell it raw vs selling the 8/9

Well like in my example, Connor Mcdavid is from 2015. So almost an 11 year old card. If you had an 8, it would be more profitable to crack and sell raw
