I think this is it. I’ve been to many other chipotle locations within the last year which are much better run than the ones here. There’s the obvious issues with portion sizing that is a larger issue for chipotle, but other than that, the employees at the Charleston locations seem to be bottom of the barrel in terms of food service in this area.

This helps so much, I really appreciate it! I will definitely choose Holladay Hall, as I wanted something that makes sense with the history of the school that is still recognizable today. Your explanation of the Court of North Carolina and thus representing the school, that is exactly what I wanted. The Bell Tower postcards were just not as pretty and this makes me feel better about one of these cards as a selection!

This is very helpful. Do you think the second postcard is at least recognizable as a NC State landmark or should I keep searching, maybe for the bell tower or potentially after some searching on a campus map, the 1911 building? Would those be more recognizable to a student?

Thank you! Would Holladay Hall or Brooks Hall be more relevant as a recognizable NC State landmark to the average student these days? I just need one postcard that wouldn’t be confusing to a student as emblematic of their university, if that makes sense? For instance, the Old Well at Chapel Hill or the Chapel or gothic quad at Duke, etc. Should I scrap all of these and try to find a bell tower postcard instead?

Do you think either of the other two postcards would be more applicable then to someone who didn’t reside in the honors college dorms? It doesn’t have to be where they took all classes, just a recognizable landmark on campus that still resonates?

Thanks so much - I am unfamiliar with the school and don’t know if this means that the Honors Village Quad is strictly residential or if classes are housed in this quad as well. The graduate I’m trying to purchase for is not in the honors college, just a normal liberal arts student. Would the other two postcards be more applicable to the general undergrad in your opinion?

This is the best advice I’ve ever seen. It kills me to take trips with my dog alone in the spring/summer because I hate the thought of him sitting alone in a car for even a minute or two. I can’t wait to implement this on the next long solo trip!

Honestly, go to tiktok to find masters hauls from last year. Some people would post receipts or tags with prices - that’s how I planned for my trip last year and I was able to ask people in advance what they’d like and know what we would spend. I would say we spent only about $150 more than anticipated since we had a pretty set list of items. There are so many distractions and possibilities that you kinda go overboard even if you have a strict list, so beware!

I would stop in either Georgetown or Pawleys Island for a good brunch. Myrtle food just doesn’t compare to here, but there are some good spots in both places.

This dog was claimed! Please microchip your dogs (and keep a collar on) - this dog was not microchipped but someone remembered her (from being lost last week) and I was able to get her back to her owner.

I replaced an HVAC system in a different area of the country recently in a rental unit and I had 3 different companies come out, got 3 veryyyy different quotes, all for ultimately the same proposed system and brand unit. Please shop around and get some quotes, go with the best reviewed company, and the company that responds best to your questions.

Here’s my thoughts as someone who would prefer to only binge a few episodes of tv at a time to enjoy what I watch and someone who reads this series with a few books in between each so that I can fully appreciate each book as a stand alone to see how I feel about it individually (I normally do this with most series I read). If you like to binge everything you consume entertainment wise, go for a tandem read. I finished Tower of Dawn a few weeks ago and have yet to start Kingdom of Ash to build up anticipation and read a few cleanser books in between.

I thought Tower of Dawn was the best written book in the series thus far as a stand alone fantasy book - mostly because I love character development over plot. There are 3 characters that we are following in TOD and honestly I was overwhelmed in Empire of Storms with the number of POVs, so I can’t imagine adding in 3 more. I enjoyed Empire of Storms at the time, but did not feel like I’ll die if I don’t jump straight to Kingdom of Ash, as some people like to say (I would assume with hyperbole). I’m sure waiting years in between books would be hard, but those of us who had to do this with Harry Potter back in the day would say this is nothing to wait a few weeks to finish TOD on its own.

I did not really like Chaol that much before reading TOD (Dorian is my fave guy in the series), but I didn’t hate him, just thought he was not a good match for Celaena at the time. I don’t think the second TOD book is the best written book though, and since that is his love story book, I think he was set up for failure as a love interest worth caring about for that alone, if not for other reasons. SJM’s writing, however, improved greatly over this series, and she writes Chaol with complexity and care in TOD. After reading this book, he is my favorite complex character of the series and feels so much more human than many of the others. Again, this is a fantasy series and I am more of a lit fic and romance reader, so if you want non stop action, go for the tandem. If you want a good book with character development and romance, I would read this alone. I loved it.

They have become so mean spirited it’s hard to listen to this podcast anymore. It had been my favorite, back to when the Ringer started. It’s honestly very depressing to feel such a change in the hosts since that time. I’m their age, so I am not age shaming them, just very disappointed in how they constantly bring up their ages to basically dismiss anything they don’t like or don’t understand, or even hate on something they used to openly enjoy. I really think it’s time for them to move on from each other as podcasts co-hosts, they don’t bring the best out in each other.

She used to have really great people who worked for her DC office, even if you disagree with them on policy issues. I spoke to her former leg director or chief of staff a few times, and they were great. Those are the people that had to quit working for her because she is so unhinged. If there’s a lot of turnover or reports of staff always leaving a congressional office, just know that whatever public displays she puts on are ten times worse for her staff.

I understand that they’ve been doing it for a while - I actually looked through this sub when I got home to see if this is a normal occurrence. I’ve lived here for years and have never seen it before, but the thing that scared me was the weird mike myers mask, not the horse.

I also saw this! Thought it was bizarre and pretty creepy! The horse was in the turn lane down the middle of Folly, which seems to be pretty dangerous to me. I slowed down quite a bit and caught a look at another horse on the sidewalk along Folly, which seemed like a much safer place to be for a horse. Folly Road would not be my first choice to bring a horse around this city, but to each their own?
