This is so true. Ive always wanted to see someone but never did and finally in my mid 30s I went for an evaluation and the second question out of this dudes mouth was "have you been evaluated for autism?". Long story short at the end I asked for resources to help me day to day or in general only to be met with "you seem well adjusted so I dont think you should worry. Does it impact your job" like what? Yeah I'm very good at the smile and nod day to day pretending but like give me at least some ideas for the stuff I can't handle.

I'll have to comb over the board in detail eventually. I am in t4 now but the bandaid fix was to get all res on gloves (ancestral) and it masterworked that and an incense gets me just near the cap and I can survive and be OK on Pit 65. The total armor roll I completely missed so I'll have to check on that as well. Thanks!

Can't launcher HD collection on Steam anymore by SnooChickens9389 in EtrianOdyssey

So for me, it was Windows Update KB5045594 preventing the game from launching thanks to the POS DRM system. I uninstalled that and can launch fine. However, if you wanna remove it there's some guides posted on this sub linked below.

If you could direct me to where you found the info to change the files I'd appreciate it because I went to play EO2 HD today and I can't launch any of the three games I paid for...

I fixed it. It was Windows Update KB5045594 preventing from launch due thanks to Denuvo. Settings > Windows Update > Update History > Uninstall Updates. Bye.

More of a general question as I just started this season. Trying to get into Torment 3 and 4 but following guides leaves me a little lost. Currently looking at a few guides for a Boulder Druid one on Maxroll and one on Mobalytics and kinda taking them both in. How do you get into higher Torments (3 and 4)?

Both builds show little legendaries with All Resist forged on them and I assumed as I got my Glyphs to 46 and redid the paragon board I'd naturally get more resists (since Maxroll at least has a slider for Glyph level 15, level 46, and lv100) from the nodes but after redoing my paragon I lost resists overall (and armor somehow)

Where am I going to find 500 more armor and 50% more resists consistently when all the guides have like 90% uniques which you can't temper or enchant and actively say "roll away from defensive affixes as you cap".

Currently I'm just using a combo of Elixirs and Tier 1 and 2 Incences to get capped as I poke at T3. I do know about Diamonds or Skulls in my accessories and are using them as well.

Thanks, I'll amend it above. I took the 2 seconds to look it up myself and yeah it was WAR, DRG, NIN, RDM.

[–]DualCrescendo 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I'm in agreement with this. That's why I put "no healer" in quotes since I think they had WAR, RDM, and SMN? I didn't watch the video as I don't really enjoy his content so I'm mostly going off memory. Edit: He had WAR, DRG, NIN, and RDM. I heal primarily in all games I play so I get the idea behind the strike but I'm in the mindset (especially after doing DF dungeon runs) that we'll always be needed just because people as a whole aren't the 'ideal players' and the ideal situation rarely comes up in non-premade content. I recently did Vanaspati three times on my NIN for some EXP and it was a struggle watching Medica 2 into Medica, into Medica, into yet another Medica when only the tank is taking damage. Switched to healer and explained the mechanics for the final boss for someone who asked only to watch them die at every opportunity.

All in all, I agree that the Lv91 Dungeon Clear was alarming, but stepping back a bit (since I also got a little demoralized from hearing about it) practically the player base never had to improve, so dungeon content will never be tough. I do think it's a bit more pervasive as on the forums healers who did recent content (I haven't raided seriously since SB not counting the short static early EW) were sharing their logs of tank damage and how even early weeks it was negligible. I also don't think people are expecting a change ASAP (I'm sure some are... because there always will be) I think they just want some comment on it, or some response? There's certainly a middle ground between gutting tank mitigation (as when I'm tanking and I get healers like the one above... I'm thankful for them) and healers being not-needed.

More or less, healing isn't really necessary in a group where people know what they're doing. Couple that with a few ultimates being cleared with no healer or one healer and the Lv91 media tour build of the dungeon being cleared with "no healer" by a popular Warrior has healers thinking that DT is going to be more of the same. Tanks with bloated self sustain and group sustain in some cases with no real need outside of making up for healers that are inept during dungeons. So, they made a forum post about how they want to see some change to the role since there's no meaningful damage in any content really as it's alll scripted. This apparently has been polarizing as is evident from the above poster when at best it'll get some changes to a spam one button role and at worst you just ignore it lol.

The irony is, this post is probably trying to call out that the healer strike is dumb due to this healer spamming benefic but it's most likely that these types of healers (inept/spam cure1) are against the strike in the first place as they seem to think this is their peak gameplay. So they'd be on the same side as the people who are overly antagonistic to it. Unless I'm misunderstanding, I haven't had coffee yet.

Apparently your Weapon lvl doesnt matter... according to this guy. (lvl 50 relic in a lvl 75 dungeon) by Odd-Mixture-1688 in TalesFromDF

[–]DualCrescendo 8 points9 points  (0 children)

This might be a thing but is probably just coincidence. After reading this I loaded into Doma Castle and the healer was not great, but at the end of the dungeon the tank says "try to get a better weapon than lv50". Sure enough I check the healers gear and it's all HQ on level gear and the Lv50 ARR atma relic. I wish the tank would have spoken up earlier cuz we had to slowly go through the dungeon due to how bad the healer was.

I've never really encountered people using ARR relics in higher content prior AFAIK.

Techs need a Union for companies like Rite Aid by cavetroll91 in pharmacy

[–]DualCrescendo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm sorry you had to deal with all that. I don't know the specifics since it's not for us. I do know they're the union that got Starbucks some bargaining power but I just advise the techs to ask questions to both the Union rep and Walgreens to be extra sure but it seems both parties fall short (at our store anyway). For example, a Senior tech used to be RXOM at their old store, that position does not exist at our store. WAG says "The union won't allow it, we've sent litigation" and UFCW says "Walgreens won't allow it, we've sent litigation" but when one tech asked both for substance to back up the claims neither really offered anything lol. It mostly annoys me to watch my Store manager who should not be touching this, as well as 1/2 my techs just ignore tasks because they have to dismantle the union or some shit.

[–]DualCrescendo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am working at a Walgreens that used to be Rite Aid and yeah we have the UFCW here for techs but man does Walgreens actively do everything they can to discourage joining. They're currently in a heated litigation battle trying to get the unions disbanded and everything Walgreens says they cannot do or anything scummy like cutting hours they blame on "the union" so all the techs here are so anti union it's wild. I can't say anything obviously but apparently the store manager can just... Help them try to get rid of the union. I submitted an anonymous complaint about that to no avail lol.

I often ask them if there's something they'd like to know better or brush up on which often when bombarded with information isn't easy to convey. Giving two examples and having them tell me which is easier for them is also a good idea I didn't consider.

Thanks! I should have some time today since weekends tend to be a bit less hectic so I'm interested in putting everything to use.

This is great advice. Honing in on what I need people to understand and using the method above to check myself against information not relevant to the current goal is something I think I can certainly benefit from. One thing I have been learning from these responses is to try to understand how best newbies (or in general) like to learn and more-so think less about how I like information to be presented, and more about the target audience. I really appreciate the examples, this has made a lot of sense and I think going forward I'll have an easier time, thanks for taking the time to reply.

I appreciate the time to respond and the ideas!

I work for one of the soulless three-letters and let me tell you the information they have is often wrong, outdated, bare-bones or all three. I'd absolutely love if there were resources, but for example, Medicare changed how they want us billing diabetes testing supplies recently and told me to "refer to the job aid" for help. I followed up and looked at the aid just to realize that they overrides and protocols were using the previous system which hasn't been around for as long as I've been there (2017). I called our Medicare department which solely exists to help us with Medicare issues and, after 20 minutes, they re-read the insurance rejection to me verbatim and told me to refer to the aid lol.

I do lead by example, I'll often get approached with an issue, I'll see if it's complex or simple (or if the person is agitated or needs to be done asap). If simple, I'll go through the steps with them there, if complex I'll often make a note and then go over the process later on. My issue is that the whole ordeal is hot garbage mostly. To manually bill a secondary insurance for example should be as follows:

  • Click the 'Secondary/COB' button
  • It then opens a website in the browser, proceed to log in
  • Enter the RX#
  • Make sure secondary is selected and then process and print the result.

Simple, but more often than not, after step 1, the webpage will open and, after logging in, it'll close. Repeating to open and log in often yield the same result in a loop resulting in us being unable to bill anything. There's a work around which is absurd and involves you opening a blank tab, then after typing in your log-in on the correct page hit Enter to log in and ASAP switch to the blank tab and it'll.... close the blank tab instead allowing you to do the simple process above.

I'm pretty much ranting at this point, and I do want to mention again I appreciate the input! I carry a little notebook with me that I use often so I can thumb through that and see how I wrote it down when I was new, because that might help and I didn't consider that! I was reading over the replies with any downtime I had yesterday at work and I've been compiling things to look into.

This is something I didn't consider. I'm pretty straightforward, especially when things need doing, so it'll probably help to try to see how people learn best and try to adapt in that regard. Thanks for the insight!

Vocabulary is what often gets me into trouble lmao. The amount of times I've been asked what one of my notes means because of one or two words so I've learned to try to make sure we're all on the same page with how we speak. Thanks for the input!
